Body Pearlescent, backbar crimson Vateshraan/master sword and board 1 wild hunt and 1 magma Incarnate.

Pearlescent because it’s a decent damage buff and helps with a pug wipe. Crimson because 4 man groups likely are missing pen. Wild hunt because I want to be fast to get everything grouped togeather quickly so that even shitters can see where they put their dots.

I agree. If they can't keep the boss off of me (the healer) I'm not going to be doing much healing.

Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

As a healer, i expect the tank can survivor a bossfight without need of external heal, so the healer can act as third dd and only take care of other dd taking damage.

This can increase the group dps by 50%.

All I expect from a tank in normal dungeons is a taunt on bosses and to stay alive.

Bonus points for additional group pen, warhorns, and chains. If a "tank" is using inner fire for a taunt, they should try to make room for caltrops for major breach if there is no DPS running it already.

I personally don't care about their DPS in normal, because I pull enough for any normal dungeon by myself. That said, as long as things are taunted and they aren't running all over the place, DPS away.

I would like to say for all the tanks that might be reading this. A real tank makes such a difference! Even in those normal dungeons that many people say roles aren't needed, it is a real help when there are new players in the mix. I know that tanking is the hardest of the three roles and believe me I do appreciate you.

Tanking's not the hardest role tbh.

In most other games tanks have to produce damage to build threat. In ESO, you hit 1 button and you spend the rest of your time healing yourself (or providing buffs). You also standing in big damage circles and take 30k hits that murder the dps, which isn't possible in other games generally because that kind of environment damage isn't mitigated by tank defenses and they generally dont have 150% more health than the dps there.

So in ESO, tanking is way easier if you remember to slot a taunt and bring a few self heals so you don't have to worry about dying. (Most of my tank builds have 3-4 heals or shields, because there's 10 skill slots and nothing would be better placed. Of course, when I'm in a hybrid tank-dps build which is still full tank capable of veteran dlc content, but sacrifices a lot of the self healing to hit 20k damage it's a different story!)

I only ask that all roles do the bare minimum. I don't care what you wear.

DD - just do damage and mechanics (interrupt and res teammates)
    Healer - heal
    Tank - hold aggro

I haven't had any demands in normals from DDs and healers. I have had demands in vet DLC, but only rarely. I run the following build:

    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Special:EsoBuildData?id=478307

This is a Brawler build with two taunts, Stampede and Silver Leash. The Tormentor set turns both of those skills into a taunt. Stampede becomes an AOE taunt. The build is basically unkillable and protects the group by taunting everything. You don't need to give the group health, nor do you need to wear Pearlescent. I have worn the latter in normal Dreadsail Reef PUGs. It does what it says on the tin, but it isn't very good in a PUG. If the PUG is going to die, it's going to die, even with Pearlescent. On the other hand, I've worn Tormentor in Dreadsail Reef on a DK build with very low block cost. There is a certain trash fight in that trial where 90% of PUGs wipe. Pearlescent didn't fix that. Taunting everything with Tormentor and having the low block cost to survive that trash pack did.

AOE taunting with a gap closer and having a single skill to pull (if possible) and taunt at the same time is exceedingly nice. If you're a DK, the Tormentor set turns Unrelenting Grip into a free taunt for targets that can't be pulled. Ranged taunts are normally expensive. I can't recommend Tormentor highly enough.

Other than that, we have Vicious Ophidian and a sustain setup. Your survivability with Brawler stands and falls with sustain. In normals, this build is frankly overkill. It can solo vet non-DLC hard mode dungeons. It can solo the first arena of vet Blackrose Prison, up to the first boss. It therefore stands to reason that you could build for more damage and still be the tank. However I like using one setup that works in some vet dungeons as well.

There are some PUGs where I've done 60% of damage, e.g. when the DDs aren't any good. You can wear all the support sets you want. You can wear Yolnakhriin and Turning Tide. The damage buffs don't mean anything when you end up with bad DDs. +10% of zero damage is still zero damage. Same goes for healers in normal dungeons in my book. Don't get me wrong. I love when they wear things like Spell Power Cure. I've had up to 7500 weapon damage in groups on my tank and a Brawler tooltip of 10K (along with 43% crit  ). Who doesn't love that. However, if the healer is a templar and uses Sweeps and Radiant where appropriate, then all the better.

I want to draw attention to some details. You can build for self healing. Sorc is ideal for this, due to Crit Surge. I also always end up doing more damage on my sorc than on my DK with these type of builds. Part of that is the sustain. This is a very sustainy build, but Brawler is a sustain hungry skill when you spam it. The idea is to spam it for the shield and the AOE damage. Dark Deal is great to use while on the move between targets. DK can't really compete for this particular build.

The build also has 3.5K health regen. Bound Armaments yields a load of passives, including health and health regen, and it does so all the time without activating it. You can swap it for the Clannfear, but the Clannfear heal is expensive and rarely a good option. He also tends to run off and isolate mobs that it's attacking rather than help with stacking mobs. That's why I don't run it anymore.

Precognition is never used, so we retain Strategic Reserve CP at all times. I used to slot Temporal Guard for the Minor Protection. It's hardly worth it though. The Brawler shield and occasional blocking (in harder vet content) play a far greater role than Minor Protection. Precognition, meanwhile, allows you to break some otherwise unbreakable stuns, if the group is not on the ball.

This build guarantees success. In my experience no one complains when the group is successful.

Why waste that many slots for self-healing when you have a dedicated healer?
Yeah, this is an interesting question. If you look at my tank, I use a lot of self heals, because it's really a solo / carry build that can operate completely without a group, except for mechanics and greater speed. But to answer @dmnqwk's point of "what else do you really slot", you only need to go to the tank club web site. As far as I can see the meta is Frost Blockade and Frost Clench for the ranged taunt, to freeze / root targets and apply Brittle. He also uses Engulfing Flames for the flame damage buff. You can easily fill your bar with skills that increase group damage or that debuff the boss' damage.

That said, I won't rely on a healer in a PUG. My build is overkill for normals, but I think it highlights how you can get healing from attention to detail, such as by leveraging class passives and CP for health regen. Actually using your ultimates, e.g. Warhorn, is also a valid choice, of course.
