Dungeon Cueing is Really Bad

We had a dungeon run of Fungal Grotto. Got to the end and one DPS left. That left the 3 of us needing a DPS to requeue. At least 30 seconds to a minute later (perhaps more, perhaps not) and no dungeon. I can't believe no single DPS wanted either a random or Fungal Grotto (given the "6 dungeon" endeavor this week).

It would be much better if this was fixed!

Just solo it a bunch of times with a companion. I did it with Bastian and it was a breeze. Much easier than joining a queue and relying on other people.

I think @FlopsyPrince points out that a core feature of the game is not working as intended.
I am pretty sure he knows how to complete Fungal Grotto I.

This is just speculation, but do we know how many players are active on the servers during prime time post U35?
I heard players are leaving left and right. Maybe it is just that? That there actually are not enough players queuing?

There has been a bug with the group finder for several months now. It takes forever to find a replacement while in a dungeon in progress, even if it's a DPS.

It also takes forever to get into a random dungeon in the first place if you queue as a party of 2 or 3. Queueing solo or as a group of 4 works fine but 2 or 3 doesn't.

Those two things are very similar so they're probably part of the same bug.

I've ran several dungeons missing members from start to end while queuing.
Finder tool doesn't seems to work as it should too many times.

PS - This issue is prior to U35. Nothing to do with it.

30 seconds to 1 minute? I agree that finder seems to be bugged at the moment but that is hardly a long enough period of time to determine anything, let alone post about it in the forum.

I've had the finder stuck for 45 minutes. Yes, the three of us waited that long to see if someone would come for the final boss. Don't remember the dungeon.

    It's bugged.

queuing as 2 or 3 people works fine when your looking for a tank or healer, but from my experience almost no dps queue solo, they usually queue in groups (or as fake tanks/healers, hence making it easier to get tank or healer, but its like a 50/50 shot that is a fake)

It is the only one I have soloed, but yes, I can do that. I would still rather do a speed run with others, but I should just find a guild group for the rest for the endeavor this week, or make sure to queue enough times. That may seem easy, but I jump between alts too much and that messes up the queueing.

I queue as a solo DPS all the time. I think that is almost the only way I have run a dungeon in the past, in general.

The healer bailed in our case after waiting a bit. Stupid we didn't get someone or even couldn't restart with the 3 of us.

It's doing you a favor. I ran Icereach HM with heavy hitting dps and trials players. It was terrible. I mean holy crap, my dps was so bad I reconsidered life. I thought when I ran vka I had the measure of it but my built is dot heavy and at least in trials those dots hit. In dungeons, I am useless now.

5-6 years ago, bunch people with near zero coding knowledge, insisted on getting the ready check.

Queue need to be FIFO, failed ready check put people in front of queue is simply ridiculous.

To preserve FIFO, one way to implement is just more queues (high/low priority), i am sure zos is not doing it.

In conjunction with partial group queues, which also need additional queues to preserve FIFO (some ingenious solution can exist i am too potato to think of).

And random dungeon, which most likely just bunch extra queue pop until some valid elements showing up.

It’s just logically too complex, and mostly unnecessary.

If zos don’t want to delete dungeon finder entirely, they should at least get rid of ready checks.

I have just started running Vet dungeons (via the Finder), but that is on hold until all this junk shakes out.

The finder works. You don't need FIFO for a group that is just needing 1 or 2 DPS. Or you make multiple queues based on the size of the group queueing. Those in the middle of a run should get a priority.
