New Update 35 Maelstrom Staves

The buff to the wall of elements does not carry-over when you switch bars. That is, the buff from the weapon only happens on the bar where it is equipped. It was caught on PTS, but went live still not working. Unless this is intended, which makes it un-usable and unlike all the other dot centered weapons, especially other maelstrom (bow, two-hander) which also buff their weapon's line aoe dot but is triggered on cast and carry's over to the front bar for your rotation giving the buff for the skills duration.

@ZOS_GinaBruno Please confirm whether this is an intended change or if it is a bug that will be fixed!

We need to know whether we should keep our Maelstrom staves or start switching to new gear to replace them. Many players are already in the process of crafting/farming new gear and others are unsure if they should do the same or wait for a fix.

This set is incredibly popular and this is a major change! There needs to be better communication and documentation about a change that will so heavily effect the builds of so many players.

@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_Kevin Any word on when we will get a fix for this? It is very frustrating that 90% of my DPS builds now have a broken piece and are not hitting as hard as they should.

This bug was reported weeks ago on Week 5 of the PTS. Why can't the changes to the Maelstrom Staff just be rolled back until you guys can figure out how to implement the changes without breaking the staff inferno staff that many people have spent hours farming to unlock?

Gina said they were aiming for the next PC incremental the week of September 5.

They cannot change it back until then anyhow, so there’d be no point.
