any attack longer than a light attack that isn't a fully charged heavy attack. in game they are called heavy attacks. some sets work on any heavy attack, some only on fully charged heavy attacks

A LOT of people want to HA!

It is the most accessible option out of the three. And with Microsoft owning eso now. Accessibility is getting pushed up the priority list. No surprise there...

As for MA. Can't believe they didnt just make Empower affect fully charged HA only..... bring resto down and avoid MA weave meta... all with one simple change...

Hold down LA button a fraction of a second longer and it turns into a heavy attack. Not a fully charged heavy attack, but essentially a heavy attack that you cancelled early. On live, this slows down your rotation while only being a fraction of a percent stronger than a light attack. With the new Empower changes, holding down light attack a fraction of a second longer will essentially give you an 80% stronger light attack.

This is a significant buff to top players with great rhythm and timing using meta weapons like dual wield daggers and inferno staff. Which feels unintentional. I am pretty sure ZOS meant to use Empower change to buff fully charged heavy attacks and "channeled" heavy attacks like shock and resto. Those are popular entry-level builds for veteran PvE. I don't think they wanted an 80% buff to a minor variation of light attack weaving that is most likely to benefit top leaderboard groups.

That's the story of this entire patch.
Every single change has been done a vacuum, ignoring how it would interact with content, other skills, or sets.

I've got my fingers crossed that medium weaving is just an oversight. After the week 5 patch notes, I'm not really sure if they want it or not.

I'll learn it if I have to, but I won't be happy about it. Those that don't like light weaving sure as heck won't like medium weaving.

With the NB changes I think you can probably utilize medium weaving running ambush, path, wall and spamming concealed weapon and easily hit huge numbers.
