Are there any mods you recommend for the interface or mods in general? Thank you. I really hate the controller interface in my inventory.

    Try the Inventory Grid. It should be easier to Navigate. Also, Advanced Filters should help.
    Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.
