I'd try it. I like the idea of starting over with a blank slate and earning achievements again, and I don't care how slow I'd level.

I would NOT try it if there's permadeath. I didn't see that in your list, so I assumed there wasn't. If dying means deletion, then no thanks.

There's no point in implementing such restrictions imo. This is something very few players would enjoy, and those who do can do it anyway... Just avoid using exp boosts etc.
Even if there were rewards, I wouldn't play it. First of all I like dlc dungeons and it's not feasible to reroll a char after wiping, and secondly, I've died many times to lag and disconnects. Would be super annoying to lose a char if you disconnected during a dragon fight or something.

Actually, the OP didn't say anything about dying/being deleted.

Correct. That'd be more like a hardcore ironman than a normal ironman.

A good 80% of my deaths are from lagging out. The game stops moving for 10 seconds and by the time the game catches up, its a death screen. This game isn't reliable enough to stay connected to do that.

Edit: oh no death penalty... I dunno, can I grab a companion to fight by me?

As in; you flag a new character to be an ironman. You can't trade other players, use guild stores, or use house storage. You have an ironman bank space, which your alts can take items out of but can't deposit items into (basically a blank bank space for your ironman that only they can deposit into). Your stickerbook is reset for the ironman. You cannot use any exp buffs. Your achievements start over on the ironman. Leveling takes longer. But you get milestone achievements, titles, cosmetics, and possibly Seals of Endeavor for your time and effort spent.

Edit; meant to have an "other" option, but I hit enter by mistake and it posted the post. Oh well.

You can play that way now. Just delete your character if you die. Who needs a mode.

I've never played a game which had this as an official mode and called it iron man, so maybe those are more specific, but I always thought not dying was the core of the challenge and the other rules were there to stop players circumventing the challenge.

The format I'm most familiar with is trying to get to the maximum level (or some sort of plateau in games with endless or virtually endless levelling) so if you could share gear, XP boosts etc. from your other characters it would be too easy to stack up on buffs and upgrades and grind XP somewhere relatively safe to complete it, which isn't really in the spirit of the challenge.

Been there done that with my first 3 characters back in 2014 when the game was more difficult than it is today.
My latest character is leveling with no gear except weapons.
