Is it possible, well even new world offers this code, to simply type in the number you wish to buy rather than burning my E letter to smithereens just to buy 1000 moonstone?

Yes - and once the window comes up, select the "1" it's pre-filled with, and overwrite with the number you really want to buy.

As a console player who has no right click option I would still like this suggestion to remain and be supported, thank you OP and others who are in support.

It’s also possible to buy multiple in gamepad mode. You can’t type in the number, but you can increase it with the axis stick.

On console it's just as slow as the D-Pad so it's a moot point, thanks for trying to help tho.

Definitely one point where the controller UI needs improvement. Sadly one of many.

A small console/gamepad QOL code upgrade would be to put incrementals of 10 units or something like that on LB/RB.
