"An unknown error has occured"

I had this problem happen all during beta and was hoping it would be resolved in the release client, but unfortunately it isn't.

Basically every 5-30 minutes I get kicked back to the login screen with the error "An unknown error has occured" and I have to relog back in.

This also also rolls my character back position wise, although I retain items, XP and quest status. But it gets annoying travelling all the way across a zone and then being put somewhere I was at 10 minutes prior.

I know several others were posting about this during beta as well. Has anyone found a resolution?

    I'm having this problem as well, but I've never made it more than 5 minutes.

    I'm having this problem too. Did not have it during Beta, and the only thing I changed since then was my graphics card..

    I have Comcast and I don't have the issue mentioned in the other thread. I can play past the prison, but I constantly get disconnected and rolled back position wise with the unknown error.

    I am experiencing the same issue. It's really killing the game for me.

    The customer support also seems extremely lazy, I requested email assistance and some dunce just emailed me their own internal document for what they should suggest to the customer.

    seriously, stop asking people what's their ISP it is not their ISPS fault. This issue is coming from the game server side.

    but sadly, since only 10% are affected by this, zenimax is just choosing to ignore it and focus on more important stuffs like zooming in character creation window

    @blackwolf7 People should give as much info as possible. Their Location their ISP and a tracert would be useful. I suspect from looking at the the other threads theres a routing issue somewhere and having things like the ISP would be very hand for tracking down where the issue is.
    The disappointing thing about all of this is the complete lack of a pertinant response from Zenimax, their Opperational Support Staff be they based in an office or their NOC need to be looking at this as this isnt a Dev issue.

    Same problem here...every 5 minutes or so.
    People keep saying they heard of a friend of friend of friend of their neighbors that plays a NB and can catch up with dks and sorcs and this guy just never shows up. He would be a rock star if he existed.

    Im having the same issues and had it for the whole day today. Its even worse when I try to change instances. The game keeps kicking me back to the login screen.

    Same problem here ... really annoying. And why is the problem "unknown" ? does your code base not allow for more descriptive error messages ?

    @NoirJ‌ yeah! I agree. This issue really needs to be addressed asap as it hinders paying customers in playing the actual game. nevertheless, it's only the 2nd day of early access I just hope they atleast consider helping us. Because as I've observed, Zenimax doesnt give a *** to those who are having this problem as long as majority is happy

    Didn't have it during this afternoon (Australia), but it is happening again. It doesn't even take a minute before the "unknown error" appear. I know it is early access and all that, but I would be glad to get at least an answer to the email I've sent.

    Well, this is not the better internet out there but look the packet lost. So yeah, it is NOT my ISP. So Zenimax, DEAL with it and do your job please. Stop waste our time.

    Having the same problem - I'm with Internode in Australia. Roughly 5 minutes of playing time before I'm kicked with the message "An unknown error occured". Firewalls and virus protection programs are disabled.

    I'm using Comcast but that's not the issue here. It's an issue on Zenni's end.
