Combat Team

When I see sets like Nocturnal’s Ploy it makes me feel that the combat team has run out of ideas. I believe they've forgotten the idea of fun. They seem to have also forgotten the idea of balance. Are they not playing their own game, or are they playing it, and making decisions based on anger at the class that is killing them, like a personal thing? Some of these changes feel like an attack on a specific class. This game is becoming exhausting. I think maybe they should switch around the teams or get some new people in for some fresh eyes and ideas, but ideas and changes that are CREATIVE and conducive to FUN.

    Spending more than 5 minutes thinking about the implications of ideas would be job one...knowing. their own game would be job two.
    They clearly don't do either because the playerbase finds the corner cases where this stuff breaks within an hour after the notes are released.

    I would just like them to clearly explain what their “vison” for the combat system is; that they were taking about a few years ago. All I see is a constant removal of power only to add that power back into the system via dlc or chapter purchases. Their changes to the combat system seems to be more and more about selling power in some form, instead of making a skill based combat system and expanding it with new morphs for skills, new weapon lines, etc.

    Devs died to *** mobs on livestream.. THEY DIED TO MOBS... The dev do not play this game to any real extent

    I mean, I just laughed when Templars are given a developer note on the the "change" ie huge nerf to jabs saying that reducing the channel to 0.8 seconds from 1.0 seconds justifies there nerf to jab damage by 20%- Oh, and their removal of one of the four original jabs as well- because a new and improved 2k damage light attack- my light attacks doing 5.5-6k base damage on live right now- can now be weaved within the global cooldown of Jabs now.....

    When we've always been able to weave a light attack in with the jab animation- it's between the 3rd and 4th spear thrust forward in the animation--- that's about the time I really felt the disconnect between developer and people who actually play the game and learn the intricacies of their characters.

    Very sad to see my 35k baseline tooltip of the " jab + burning Light + light attack" synergy be reduced down to 16.3k after all the combat changes.... Because confidence in the developers are really raised when huge numbers are just thrown out like darts on the board like this update 35.

    EDIT: My bad- that 16.3k is actually going to be lower due to Oakensoul nerf.

    Nocturnal’s Ploy is a scaring me ... not the actual set but imagine there is someone who comes up with sets like this .
    even if they nerf this set that guy is still there and gonna do it again and again every patch .
