If the drastic cut to the DPS of DOTS is implemented then please allow them to bypass Battle Spirit so DOT builds still have a place in PvP. As is on live I can apply and maintain every DOT possible from Bow skills, the plaguebreak Dot and double Dot poisons and most players in PvP still have no problem outhealing it all while lining up a burst combo that kills in one GCD. Any reduction to their DPS will render DOT skills totally ineffective and mostly unused in PvP.

I wouldn't say no to that idea, but the DoT nerfs are really bad for PvE too where rotations become mostly spam.

I would prefer they just roll back the Dots change altogether. I just think it's a bad change. Hell this entire Patch has a ton of Duds in my opinion.

I'd much prefer they roll it back completely myself, this is a suggestion for a compromise if they want to be stubborn about that particular change.

Since I mainly PvP, and it sounds like something ZoS might do, I agree. However, I don't think many in PvE are super happy about 10-15 seconds of spamming while weak DoTs tick

Yes they stretch the dots and hots but leave the burst damage and burst healing untouched.

Good luck balancing that in PvP.
Or are they planning to give every class a good burst heal and a good burst combo?

Because currently PvP is all about builds who can burst heal and burst DPS. This patch does nothing but kill even more of the few feasible builds we currently have in PvP.

For example Rapid Regen being accessible to stamina players created some new interesting builds. It also had reinforced the mitigation meta but at least we saw some new and interesting builds out there.

Right now all the builds that heavily rely on Rapids will disappear (most of them rely on rapids because they don't have access to good heals in the class skills).

Yea even with the HoT nerf you can still negate a huge amount of damage with a single burst heal cast, like multiple GCDs worth of resources and setup just dumpstered by one heal cast. And you can spam burst heals for quite a while, even holding block the whole time. And they expect us to pressure through this BS with what, straight Surprise Attack spam?

Even with the nerf to HOTs one of those ticking will still mitigate 2 dots ticking on someone. And yes, the amount of health taken from 3 DOTs all ticking for 10 seconds will be able to be fully restored by 1 cast of a burst heal. So it's not just the disparity in using GCDs but the amount of time you have to wait for the GCD's spent on DOTs to give you more damage than casting a spammable..
