I do not understand what this patch is supposed to do. If you want to lower all the dps, then just say so. You are not just lowering the top end player dps but also everyone else who uses light attack in any capacity. Those terrible players who only light attack will suffer from this the most.
You are still keeping empower so the optimized groups will take full advantage of that. What will new startup groups do? You are hurting them again with this.
Making staff damage lower than melee is also bad because people stack in fights and there is jo risk reward decision here, just "don't use staff" mentality.
You should actually incentivise using ranged skills and weapons because new players tend to die all the time in melee.
20s dot duration is terrible. Need to introduce a variety of timers to make players choose how they want to play.
All of this just to create an illusion on the parse that the top numbers look close to bottom numbers. But that would only last a day since that discrepancy will just become the new norm.
I'm not necessarily arguing against the LA/HA dmg change. But the mentality with which you are making it.
Be honest at least. You want to make this change so that you can introduce a bunch of new sets that play with the LA/HA playstyle, not to help new or disabled players do better in the game. Want to help those people then either create a new class that can play differently from others or make HA super viable. It's not just that your proposed changes are not good, it's that they, as the title says, do not help anyone.
Introduce more power of player choice. Third morph options, new skill trees, choice between long running g dots and short ones.
