Light and Heavy Attacks now deal a flat amount of damage rather than scaling with your highest Offensive stats.

Do not make this change to the game. Our attacks should be affected by our stats or all you're doing is removing player agency.

We've been clear about this in the feedback to the Combat Preview this is not something the community wants, and it does absolutely nothing to address the areas you're baselessly claiming it does.

    Why do ranged attacks deal 10% less damage than melee attacks too? What happened to "play your way"? Why should I deal less damage by virtue of playing magicka...?

    The same reason stam skills cost less than mag, risk/return. Takes more risk to go into melee range and deal damage than be at range.

    this is the absolute worst reasoning since all raid groups stack in melee. This literally forces Stam playstyle vs mag and you still play in melee range.

    2250 for sure seems low... especially in solo play.... even with crits it only around 4k.

    Not necessarily, in many vet trials there are large ranged AoE's and stacking is required, and in a number of dungeons there are ranged one shots that have to be roll dodged through. There aren't really a ton of AoE's at melee range that will instantly melt you. Even in PVP, there are gap closers, stuns, etc which work regardless of distance- so risk/reward seems a bit like a moot point.

    Oh boy, can't wait for this change to go live and get queued with a sorc who just heavies with a lightning staff doing a whole 3k DPS.

    So they do not care about 2h user right? Dizzying and heavy weaving is most important mechanic and they jjust simply kill heavy attack, 2h burst gonna trash again. thx zos.

    The only place that is an issue is VAS and the answer was to just never bother taking MDPS in there in the first place!

    Most raids since are stack and whack.

    I'd like to see ranged weapon light attacks get the 10% boost if they are cast within 5m of the enemy. Same risk, same reward.

    So if I am at melee range with a ranged weapon - soloing 4-mans for example - I am still punished for not using a melee weapon although I have the same risk?
