Whenever i get a character past the starting area i get an unknown error kickin me from the game any1 else gettin this problem ?

I am getting an unknown error every 15 minutes or so, no entry created in an error log and no other information. Seems to be random as I cannot recreate it with any specific action.

Getting the same unknow error at different times. can play 1 to 10 min then it disconnects.

I can get into the game and move around but not interact with the environment, after about 10 minutes I get an "unknown error" and booted back to the login screen. I had the same issue during the last beta test. I upgraded my GPU just before the issue started happening, no idea if it's related.

I tried using the repair tool in the launcher for my issue, this allowed me to pick up a sword and shield!! I then became the same "ghost man" again where I couldn't interact with anything.....sigh.

it happened to me too, and when i tried to relog i stuck at "requesting character load". really frustrating.

I submitted a ticket to get a phone call back 2 hours ago. It says wait time is > 1hour. Does that mean today? This week? Wondering if anyone has been contacted by CS?

ive just been contacted bu CS to ask "is there an error code after your unknown error" which just annoyed me more

Try adding eso.exe to your firewall exceptions. Its how I fixed the issue on my machine.(atleast for now XD)

EDIT: Ok not getting the error anymore...but now everytime I do sort of player interaction my character goes to ghost mode and I can't do anything :>

I had the same problem and after much frustration figured out the problem and I would imagine many others are having the same issue.

FIX: Look at your fire wall, windows is causing the problem, especially if you have (Win 8.1). Make sure it is set to allow Zenimax launcher and ESO client is on the allow list.

I have sent a ticket too because of this and support told me to lower the rendering distance if the problem is in rendering enviroment after changing zone but that didnt help. Got the game on ssd and also got 8GB of good ram so I dont think that would be the problem. Exactly same happens to me. Unknown error after long loading screen and stuck in character loading most of the time. Spent 2 hours yesterday and 2,5 hours today trying to log in and got 2 quests done. Oh the joy. Hope they find fix for this soon.
