has anyone else had this?
Suddenly some of my toons are missing all their lockpicks. Like I go to open a chest, and no picks. I always have 2 stacks of 200 on each main toon. I also decon everything so not selling them on accident. esp not 2 stacks or more.

Might of accidentally sold them. This has happened to me once or maybe twice over years

def not. i manually sell because of this very thing. There were none to buy back and I'd picked a loc the login before. I'd also not sold off all my stuff from the prev. login.

It happens and you don't even realize it. You can /help in game and they can find where your missing lock picks went in game though

Sometimes we swear up and down we didn't put remote there...but ther it was when asked for help looking

Not too long ago I was missing all my "Counterfeit Pardon Edicts" that I was very carefully storing among several other things in the junk section of my main's inventory (I don't use this section to destroy junk or fast sell stuff to merchants).
I was very sure that I hadn't destroyed them or stored them elswhere.
But as I couldn't find them anymore, even on other chars, I finally accepted that I must have had them accidently destroyed after all.

A couple of days ago I found them: in a chest. I don't know how they got there, I am pretty sure that I did not put them there. But... who knows?

Might be worth looking everywhere: inventory of all characters, bank/guild bank, chests.

Lucky for you they're in every urn, trunk and nightstand you come across So many lockpicks in the world you wonder why anyone even bothers locking anything.

You can buy lockpicks cheap from merchants. I keep a few stacks in a housing chest for easy access in case I run low, but I rarely do because I seem to find them all over the place.

But I've accidentally sold mine before, too. If you sell a lot of things at once the buy back tab doesn't always show them all.

Sorry your lockpicks are missing.

Though I don't really have any ideas that have not been mentioned above to help find them, a couple bits of info may be of some help.
- I think zero value items that you sell do not show up in the buy back menu. I think.
- Inner Sea Armature delve in Stonefalls is a gold mine for lock picks if you loot all the urns.

lol im happy its lockpicks because they are easy to replace, but its kind of worrying that stuff simply vanishes.

They sell for 0 but the merchants will still "buy" them. I've always thought that was weird lol.

Weird and annoying! I get so many stacks of them from container looting and really wish I could sell them to vendors, even if for just 1 gold each. They cost 9 from vendors to buy and yet I still have trouble trying to sell them for 5 each in guild traders. I guess not many people are thieving criminal scum on console like me lol.

Please ZOS, give then SOME vendor value.

I can definitively understand your worries about items suddenly disappearing. I think you really should contact support then. They must be able to see where they went.
