I mean, Ember somewhat fits there, but I'd like something along the lines of Viconia DeVir, somewhat cruel and spiteful but also seductive when she gets to know our character, she could also be a vampire (unless we later get the option to turn our followers) maybe even a member of the Dark Brotherhood.
Oh and almost forgot, I hope the promise that we'll be able to romance our companions is still in the works. Companions feel somewhat undone, same for houseguests but that's another story.

Marginis✭✭✭✭✭Considering the class archetypes the current companions are filling, I wholly expect an upcoming companion to be some sort of necromancer. So you might get your wish.
+rep for killing a neutral NPC, or committing an illegal act? (in-game, obviously. Turning into a werewolf in public, etc.) I can see that. That would be awesome too. right now we have at least 4 potential "themes" left before they make new ones: warden and necromancer (to fill out classes) and then vampire and werewolf (to theme skill lines)
although i can guarantee if we got a vamp companion they would have better vamp skills than we do by a country mile lolplays PC/NA

Coincidentally, Dorian's specialty did happen to be necromancy. Dragon Age characters tend not to have distinct delineations of morality (Cassandra aside) like good/evil/moral/immoral, but Dorian did strike me as more of a neutral character, which I think would be great for the next male companion.
I'm less enthused with the idea of an evil companion, not only as a matter of personal preference, but also because in settings with fairly sparse dialogue, extremes in morality tend to produce little more than caricatures.5 -

Yeah I get where you're coming from here. I feel like a good writer can make a well written evil-style necromancer character who doesn't, for ex., every time walking into a city say ''Look at all these people... I'd love to kill them all'' or something.
Companions get 4 quests, and I feel like that's plenty of opportunity to establish them as evil or whatever without making them corny in voice lines, so if we do get an evil necromancer, I hope the writers do it well. Argonian shadowscale, who led an especially necromantic sect of the dark brotherhood. Aw man, I can see it now. Would be cool to have a more mature companion too, like someone who's been through some stuff, and is now spending their retirement helping out aspiring adventurers. With assassinations.
A rugged war veteran of the warden or druid variety might be cool for another companion. Perhaps a sexy orc or redguard, with flexible morals and a devil-may-care attitude.
Actually, scratch that, I just talked myself into a better companion: A loose-cannon city guard who doesn't play by the rules; they're too old for this crap, but they can finally settle down with their family after this one last job...
You know what - ZoS should just release like 20 more companions next update. Don't worry about any other content - just make it a companion update for only companions. I like Fennorian, but I would never describe him as "seductive". Quite the opposite, actually: Rather calm and unobtrusive. Which is more to my liking anyway, but everyone likes different things.
