New HDR sliders

I play on the series X and I have noticed there are new slider options for HDR. I can’t get it similar to how I used to play.

I used to play on default, with my HDR in the middle. I can’t get it right.

Can anyone help?

I'm on PS5 and when I first logged in I too noticed my brightness seemed lower than it was before the update. So I played with it and got it to where I thought it was before, or close to it. Then I logged in to the game and noticed that the Map screen was absolutely horrible and unusable. 5 seconds later I noticed someone spoke in Zone chat and I saw that, that too was messed up. Normally I have green for zone chat, it was now a horrible light yellow. I then went in to the setting for "social" and the colour wheel thing was all messed up with a big white blob covering most of it.

After a bit of time I think I fixed it so it's nearly as perfect as I used to have it. Basically you want to set it to default and then play with the 5 sliders. I also use vibrant mode and will now tell you how I have each slider (note - I used to have the brightness setting all the way to the right because I like to be able to see loot containers and such in dark places, so you may have to adjust these sliders for your tastes):

HDR Peak Brightness - Mine started at about the ea of the word PEAK, leave it there or a little bit sooner (to where yours originally started).

HDR Scene Brightness - This one I now throw all the way to the right.

HDR Scene Contrast - All the way to the left

HDR UI Brightness - All the way to the left

HDR UI Contrast - All the way to the left

It seems to be if you alter the UI Sliders, especially if you go all the way to the right - that will be the cause that messes up the Map and your chat colour settings. Actually I think it's really only the second UI slider, but best not to take chances I guess lol. So I have them all the way to the left.

Summary HDR Scene Brightness seems to be the one you can play with the most, leave the UI Sliders alone until (if) ZOS fixes those.
