So I just earned the 2 crates and the Grim Harvester Costume I guess. I say "I guess", because I already had the costume so all I got was the crates (nothing said about the costume anywhere at all). Would have been nice if I could at least gift this one away to a guild mate, just saying.

Or just get 1 extra crate if you already had the costume. Something is better than nothing.

I just would like to know why they had to use a costume from a past event. Players who already own it get nothing besides the 2 crates.

Same with the pet that was given away earlier as well. I have both costume and pet before the streams so all I got for HOURS of watch time were 4 crappy crates.

Really bummed about the recycling of previous items as rewards.

Same thing was done with the High Isle reveal stream earlier this year. It was just the same Purple Torchbug we'd already gotten from watching the Greymoor reveal back in 2020.

Edit: Would've been nicer if they'd at least made it Blue or White like one of the two that lost to the Pink Torchbug they're currently using for special Twitch giveaways. Then it would've been new for everyone at least:

I don't mind repeat items if it's from past twitch streams, gives more opportunities to get them for those who missed out. If they had a more reliable Twitch schedule I might feel differently, but they are truly all over the place. They should definitely toss another crate your way if you already have it though.

Personally, I don't feel cheated or angry that a reward is something I've already got from a previous time, because (1) it helps take away the pressure of feeling like I "need" to watch streams for X number of minutes or hours during the specified period of hours or days; and (2) I think it's actually nice that new players, or longtime players who had previously missed the reward for whatever reason, are given an opportunity to earn it.

So to get the horse, do you need to watch 8 hours or do the earlier campaigns count toward it? Because it seems dumb to penalize people who watched during the cat or costume steeams.

You start from scratch each time, so that's a yes to the full 8 hours.

My guildmates and I have been debating about this, we hope it's only a 4-6hr total to get the mount but we've all mostly settled we'll have to watch 8hrs for it. 4hrs is really pushing it for rewards to be worth it, but 8hrs is really too much.

I didn't realize about the cat, guess I should just be lucky I got the chance to get it again.

When it comes to the costume, I got it by purchasing a certain DLC I think. Yes they did bring it back for a previous event, but I know for a fact some people paid cash for it in a way.....

I'm not begrudging they gave it away free at all later - twice. Like I said in my first post, would have been nice if they let ME give it away to someone who hasn't got it already. I would have watched the streams regardless, just seems like half the reward is going to waste is all.

I can tell you I had to start the 4 hours from scratch for the costume after I got the cat. So I see no evidence that it wont be the same for the last reward - it will be the full 8 hours again from scratch.
