Stendarr stamp drop is way too low.

I think that it's the whole daily quests and vents rewards that are to be reworked.

i've been doing a lot of dailies with my wife, and on, like, over 50 coffers, all we got was 3 style sheets and half a dozen stamps.

And vents are even worse. Occasionnaly a stamp, but most of the time, vendor trash, vendor trash, vendor trash.

Dragons were much better, in that regards.

they drop as reward from completing a vent, I get maybe 2 from 10 vents.

In addition you get it from deconstructing steadfast mettle gear, maybe 1 every 4 pieces.

Maybe I'm just getting incredibly unlucky then. Did High isle world boss and delve dailies twice each today (ran with a friend and we swapped quests), except for the volcanic vents. Didn't get any in the reward coffers or in the vent reward at the end. None of the steadfast gear I got DE'd any either.

It seems much harder and more random to get these than it was for the comparable style materials used for furnishings in past DLCs. I'm not sure what the rationale for that is.

Style mats are getting scarcer and scarcer... They rarely drop from dailies or decon'ing... at least in summerset culanda dropped almost in every coffer, so even though it took time, you could get quest shares, or play on alts, and get a decent amount. in High Isle it seems regardless of time put in, you get next to nothing. Is it too boost CS sales of furniture (or even mimic stones, since that's a thing)? Probably, but we really don't need another limiting factor in housing, since recipes and the other mats are also a big grind.

Same experiences here, High Isle dailies are the least rewarding of all...

Ok people are going to dismiss this BUT this is what I've been doing ever since they started using style mats for furnishings and making them hard to get, actually I first noticed this with Shimmering Sand in Elsweyr.

I have one main crafter and she has all the relevent passives and cp's. Generally when I decon gear, I do it enmass, however I noticed this gives a very poor return on style mats.

Now i seperate out any gear that has the potential to drop a style mat I want and I decon those items one by one. I've done this now for many, many months and sometimes I get less than 50% return rate but usually it's more. If I decon say 6 items at once in the Steadfast Society style I'll likely get one Stendarr Stamp if I'm lucky, however if I do those 6 items one by one I would expect at least 3 stamps.

I started doing High Isle content over the weekend and I have over 50 stamps now. Although 13 of those came from using mimic stones to make gear and then deconning it. I brought one Steadfast motif, it was the belt one, because it was the cheapest one I could find, I made 15 items and deconned one by one, ending up with as I said 13 stamps. I must admit I was surprised at getting so many, probably next time I'll get none!! 😃

This is an excellent idea and best use of mimic stone! Thanks for sharing.

UPDATE: wow the rate is good, made 9 staves and got 7 stamp from decon.

I've done so many dailies and haven't received a single stamp from a reward coffer. And I only seemed to be getting about a 1 in 4 drop rate from deconning the Steadfast Mettle gear found in said reward coffers.

BUT! I just tried your method and am getting more of a 3/4 or 4/5 drop rate from deconning my own crafts!

And now I have a great use for all those freebie Mimic stones from daily rewards that I used to look at with mild disdain... *rubs hands together gleefully*

So you get a higher return rate of stamps on gear you made than for the same exact gear you find or get as quest rewards?

It's a shame we can't use the mimic stones to make furnishings, though. It's mostly the furnishings I want the Stendarr stones for. Even with doing dailies and deconning all the gear I get, every Stendarr Stamp I have is from the auction house (and boy oh boy are they expensive for a stack of 10 or 20)!

If they want us to primarily use crowns to obtain furnishings, why give us the option to make them at all? It's become a pretty big part of the game for many players, and if they are not-so-subtly trying to kill off furniture crafting they're going about it in a rather odd way, since they are still making the furniture plans, recipes etc. available via drops and the writ vendor.

I made 20 steadfast society belts using mimic stones and deconned them one by one; got 17 stendarr stamps.
