Stendarr stamp drop is way too low.

It doesn't seem to drop from antiquity like all previous style mat, and zone daily drop rate is way too low. Is this intended?

The entire new chapter is getting more depressing by the day.

I've had a few drop from the vents, and there's always Daily quest reward coffers. Worst comes to worst, you can go hit the Public dungeon and farm it for the set that uses that style.

Daily rewards have a chance of dropping them, vents are a chance and after a few hours in both public dungeons I had no more than when I started ( deconned on my main with maxed out perks and cp perks ) .

Definitely need to be a guaranteed item in daily boxes but like every freakin time with every new zone/dlc..Zos does not do it.
They know, they choose not to - take that as you may. Personally , I do not like it, nor do others I speak with in game - it is a big negative to this aspect of the game. Simple to fix if they cared to do so.

I did 3 daily now over the last few days, decon-ed about 3 steadfast set armors, dug up 12 antiquities with bonuses, I got no style mat at all.

Housing and crafting is the end game for me, this is pretty disappointing to say the least. I am not about to farm 10 dailies a day for the chance of this. lol

I guess only consolation is there is enough of other styles I can make, many are similar and better than these High Isle style furnishings.

After multiple vents ( 10+ ) I managed to get 1 from the volcanic cache and after 8 dailies , another one
A total of 2 for quite a bit of time on 2 characters ( waiting for more players at vents and world bosses, coz solo ain't happening ! )

Not sure if they do come from deconning armour? If you happen to know what drops it or where, please post
making the style with a mimic stone and deconning after for a chance of 1, doesn't count

Stendarr Stamps wouldn't drop from antiquities anyways, because it is not used for a Ancestral/Ancient style.

The new fancier looking molybdenum style stone however does drop from digs.


PS. Vents drop both afaik, and also drop the 2 glass style stones

The style material needed like others is not BOP, hence the skyrocketing prices in the guild traders, more of a MBOP - Make Bank on Pickup :P

I just want to point out this is different from before. Culanda Lacquer, Ivory Brigade Clasp, Arkthzand Sprocket can all be found in antiquity as bonus loot. The rate was very high too, at least 20%.

If they want us to buy the High Isle residences, they need to make the Stendarr Stamp drop on a more regular basis, so people can actually furnish their residences in a matching style. Come on, ZOS. The new furnishing recipes are beautiful, but we can't make them with such a low drop rate for the style material.

I'm not usually one to complain easily, but the situation with the Stendarr Stamps is really annoying. Since the release I haven't gotten a single piece, not from dailies, deconning armor, nothing. This is even worse than the Ivory Brigade Clasp, I don't see why I would collect or buy blueprints if I can't craft any furniture.

I think there are too many grinds-within-grinds in the game.

I am of the opinion that all style materials should work the same: once you learn the complete motif they become available to purchase from the vendors (as it is the case with the 'base' style materials).

The degree of granularity in the game is exhausting.

You can get it from deconning any gear in Steadfast Society style—which means only the Steadfast's Mettle set from High Isle.

It's rare because it's so new, but also because only ONE of the three overland sets can be deconned for it. Summerset similarly has 0 sets that decon into Culanda.

Plus, only the world boss dailies from High Isle are dropping motifs (and on a suspected cooldown), so not many people are doing the world boss and delve dailies. I only do 1-3 a day, whereas in other zones I'd try to do 6 or more to farm drops.

The price for Stendarr Stamps has already dropped 25% on PC NA, and will drop down to 5k after not too long. There are only 40 High Isle furnishing plans for now, so there's not much to craft with them. When/if they release structural furnishings, the price will go up again.

Solution: make groups for world boss & delve daily shares with guildies to make bank.

So far I've only done story quests on High Isle, no daily quests, no vents, no world boss, and got 1 Stendarr stamp. Must be from something I got as a quest reward or found in a chest and deconstructed.

However, on Summerset you get Culanda from every daily quest, that's a big difference. I don't have any motivation to do the dailies if I don't get the style material I want / need for crafting furniture.

Summer set daily delve drops Lacquer at over 90% rate. I don't even recall ever turning in a daily delve at summerset and not get a Lacquer. I also get them from bonus loot while digging any antiquities.

Stenddar stamp drop rate, combining all sources, is at least 5x less than anything else, if not 10x less.

• Isobel grants +125 rapport for High Isle‘s Delve daily
• Ember grants +125 rapport for High Isle‘s World Boss daily

In other words, people will want to grind up their companion+get the achievements as soon as possible.

ZOS is already holding onto the zone daily motifs for a future patch just so we can’t make efficient use of our time. Maybe they’re holding onto the style mat now too? Would not be surprised to see that it becomes a guaranteed drop from dailies once the initial chapter population dies down.

I suppose that's a possibility. This also reminds me there is no gold-purchasable classic home in HI, which is a departure from last several years.

I do think housing and crafting is an "end-game" and have its own ecosystem, it would be unwise for ZoS to toy with it for unrealistic gains in other aspect of the game.

EDIT (a bit), they have been pumping out 7 houses a year, maybe slowing this down somewhat isn't a completely terrible idea. lol

I found 25 of them in my craft bag and promptly sold them. Honestly hadn't realized they were in any sort of demand. I imagine they must all have come from deconstructing gear as I've done 20+ dailies and never seen one in a reward box.

I've got 28 of them, but maybe i lucked out with RNG? That said, i also used curated drops to fudge the system a bit, so i could only get the Steadfast mettle set. Netted me at least half the stamps i have by farming the public dungeon... only the sort of trick you can pull off once though, since deconning binds the set to you.

Are the drops to rare or are you just concerned about the current market price for the stamps being "Too Expensive". There is a difference, the drop rate for Heartwood is pretty uncommon and random and a year ago it cost 30g per piece, now it's 1400 with the same drop rate because the market finally reflected it's rarity. It drop rates shouldn't be adjusted to correct for market value, the market should be allowed to correct itself based on supply and demand.

I don't feel like these stamps are too rare, they are being used by people to craft furnishings right now and sold be people looking to make money based on their higher demand. Eventually their prices will stabilize as less people make High Isle furnishings to sell at an inflated profit. At that point you will either be able to purchase the stamps at a more reasonable price or purchase the furnishings you desire at a price closer to craft cost.

My suggestion is, be patient. (for whatever it's worth).

So since launch you have only received a single piece of steadfast gear or after breaking down all the steadfast gear you have only received 1 stamp? Or is it that you don't know to breakdown the steadfast gear to get the stamps and are going solely off the actual stamp drops from boxes?

I don't say these thing with attitude, I'm actually curious. I hope that you know that style material primarily drop from the deconstruction of their related Armor and Weapon set pieces and not simply from the daily creates or antiquities etc. In order to farm these pieces you need to farm the Steadfast Society set pieces which is an overland set that drops pretty frequently, you then deconstruct these items for the stamps.

If you are ignoring this method, then yes the drop rate would be low.

PS you can also learn a Steadfast society style page and then use Mimic Stones to create the piece and deconstruct it to get the actual stamps. It's not a 1 for 1 rate on deconstructing, but if you have points in the right places you should (just a guess based on observation) about and 80% return.

Maybe, but eitherway vents are a much faster and more reliable way to get Stendarr Stamps.

And frankly I have never gotten DLC style mats at a very high rate from excavations, but then I'm not very good at getting the bonuses either.

I didn't even get a single piece, also not from deconstruction Steadfast armor and weapons, which I found.

Ok, I didn't tried this so far, maybe I have more luck with that method. But nonetheless, it shouldn't be that hard to get the material....

I'm not sure where I got them, but I know they didn't come in any reward coffers. I remember noticing right off that there was no style material in reward coffers with this expansion as there had been with previous ones, but since furnishing plans were also not dropping, I didn't think about it much.

Are they supposed to drop in daily reward coffers as in past expansions? If so I'm getting a serious bug.

they drop as reward from completing a vent, I get maybe 2 from 10 vents.

In addition you get it from deconstructing steadfast mettle gear, maybe 1 every 4 pieces.

I received one in a daily reward coffer yesterday. Sadly I can’t recall whether it was a specific one as I turned in all three and then opened them.
