The audacity- Change our styles?

Excuse me, but I have a serious question for designers- I understand you can just go in and rip something from a race, say Bosmer's natural ability for stealth, something they've had since the game was created, in order to force us to change all of our equipment & method of playing, so that you may feel better making everyone exactly the same, instead of telling players to LEARN their jobs & race THEY CHOSE to play. K? That's something you can do, and, as I found out, there's nothing we can do about this. Fine.

But how do you change STYLES of gear, THAT WE PAID FOR, in order to have a certain "look" for ourselves? I'm watching Motif's I BOUGHT, at a cost of approx. $30.00 U.S - (5k crowns for one entire weapon/armor Motif), so I could CREATE that specific look, for my toons.

Then y'all just come in and CHANGE what I PAID FOR, to fit what YOU want? I bought the style you showed. I check them on all of my toons, because it's a large investment for myself. And now? I've got outfits I wouldn't buy in a million years. This is an IMPORTANT part of the game for myself, and I've no doubt others, as well.

So please, I'd love to know how you believe you have the right to CHANGE what we purchased, without leaving the option for us to KEEP the look we paid for?

I'm pretty sure that (after people complained waaaaay back when they 'updated' a couple of the base motifs) they said they'd never change any motifs or costumes again. To the point that they haven't even fixed problems with some of them.


But yeah, it'd help if you actually said what you were talking about.

They also sell Vampire and Werewolf bites, Vampire and Werewolf Cures, soul gems, potions, AP and SP respec scrolls, and none of it is telegraphed that all of this is available cheaply (for gold if not for free) and easily in the game. These things need a big, bold red text that appears when you try to buy them that says "You can buy this for X amount of gold at Y location. Are you sure you want to purchase this for crowns?" that way newer players don't get scammed by lack of knowledge. They say it's "easily available information" but it's not easily available through Zenimax; only though word of mouth or by googling it and finding the information on reddit or something. The information in-game is hidden within several different dialogue windows that a veteran player would have trouble navigating, let alone a new player, and even THEN it's not clear enough where you can find these services in-game, nor does it tell you the cost.

They have the right because you agreed to it.

I'm curious which motif(s) were changed. An ingame pic or something. I'm already leery about buying outfits that clip or have floaty bits.

OP, are you certain you aren't confused? Most motifs have three different styles, light, medium, and heavy. If the style doesn't look like the one in the preview image, check the other armor weights to see if one of those looks like what you purchased. Your post is very vague and does not mention what styles have been changed. I've purchased plenty of limited time cash shop motifs and style pages and have noticed no difference in any of them.

Or, perhaps you are talking about how weapon style pages no longer glow when sheathed? They used to, but that was nerfed so that the effect is only active when they are drawn. A pity that, because I preferred them all shiny when sheathed as well.

Otherwise, please let us know what style you are talking about and provide reference images. The rest of us would like to be offended along with you, but you've given us nothing to be offended about.

(I'm joking with you, seriously though, I'd like to know.)

Strange, it says "Game & Software", NOT something I purchased as a specific item, because it was sold as a "Look" I could obtain for myself.

Your comment is no different than stating you agreed to buy a specific car, say a deep blue convertible Porsche "AS IS", from an accredited car dealership online, and they delivered you a lime green & pink VW. OH! They say, but you bought this car "As Is!"

Uh, no, I purchased a deep blue Porsche "As Is", not a lime green VW. I bought the items I did, SEPERATE from the game & their software, with a specific look, style, texture.

Forgive me for not responding, as I'm sick many days, and sometimes it can become continuous. But I do play every day, for the most part, when possible.

Uh, no. I'm sick most days, usually I can respond, but this was a worse one for me, and I've not been able to do much at all in life- let alone respond to a post I made. I apologize for that, as it can't be helped.

I don't really have "Pre-pictures", as I didn't expect changes to something I purchased. But the "Stags of Zen" is one. The Hunters is another one.

I DO have a picture of the original Stags, but it was not taken as a "view" of the armor itself- however it MAY provide some detail as to what I'm talking about. I'll try to get the picture from the game, to post in here.

Be nice if that were true- I thought this might be obvious to other players- but then again, I mess a lot with the "fashion" aspect, as I'm sick most days and not often able to run content I'd dearly love to, like end-game, etc.

In addition, as I responded to others, I didn't make the post having a collection of pictures of their outfits. I just got online and, the outfits I created? Are not. They're different, some very much so. I purchased certain motifs based on what I could design with them, and when they changed.

Maybe this is some weird glitch? But I actually did expect others to have noticed this as well. I couldn't find anything allowing them to go back and change these things- which would make zero sense, but something's happened. I'm trying to find out what.

That's why I included, "If you're going to change something like this, you should at least offer a way for people to keep the style that they purchased, if they wish to, or move to the new design"- as a solution.

Yeah, sorry, I've been sick- and wasn't able to make it back to this post- Sorry people get so impatient, and don't consider there may be a legit reason for their absence, instead of someone, "running away".

So, what is this about "Texture settings reset"? That would be an actual explanation I could understand- instead of a bunch of people not offering anything, except that I was unable to respond right away.
