I heard countless forums about fixing PvP performance and it seams its seen amazing improvements on the PC/Na side...

I though I would see pages and pages of Post praising Zos about it.

What am I missing?

There's a lot of skepticism yet. Reports coming in from folks are that performance did see improvement. Whether or not it's just placebo effect yet remains to be seen, but we'll see?

Also, improvements seemed to mostly be in regard to FPS and Ping, though I did see some mentions of skills firing more smoothly and so on.

We don't trust it, so we aren't celebrating yet. And for some, they are saying there's no difference for them.

    It's been 2-3 days.
We've been waiting years, We will be applying caution.

I've been contacted by a few people asking if they should come back, I told them to try it themselves and see after a little bit. No point getting excited if this only lasts a week and then we're back to hell again.

I've definitely been talking about it in my guild discord, letting some of the guys (and gals) know I've had zero lag the last few days, even when all 3 pop locked. BUT, I'm still holding out until I see some crazy pvp, whole faction stacked with hammer + game busy everywhere else even in PvE for weekends or events to really know for sure.

Considering how bad the lag was before though, where I could feel it even when it wasn't pop locked and when it was busy, the lag was so bad it was taking 15 button presses to get a skill to fire off. My mind is kind of blown that things have been this smooth the last few days.

I've not had time or energy to pvp lately but if it is like what the players are saying my mind will be lost because it'll be blown into the next county. Will need a posse to find it.

    Some of it— yes.
It also just isn’t really enjoyable to me anymore. I changed my focus to PVE achievements and haven’t been back.

Skill delay has been fixed in cyrodiil! Skills go off the first try always. Desyncs have gotten less frequent. Some other problems have gotten worse such as stuttering, crashes, and the Queue bug.

    😂😂😂😂😂

This post had me roll over laughing, thank you. You were like are people crazy praising zos.

So what my conclusion is server can handle heavier loads better. As such skills fire better even with zergs. Latency is more stable so bar swaps are more likely to happen within same speed.

This won't improve rending issues and memory issues. ESO has higher ram need for pvp content. If any lurker sees this. Increasing your virtual memory really does work in eso.

I noticed playing ESO at one point I used 7 gb of virtual memory. Take note that I have 16 gbs of ram

Load screens haven't improved. If you can afford. Put ESO on portable SSD nvme 2.0 . This will also increase rending

Most common problems are a lot better. You are less likely to experience latency or reliability issues with the server. Though everyone loves pvp now so queue early to get in

It's like when you see the abandoned dog in one of those commercials and the music is all like "in the arms of an angel..." But it's trembling pvpers crawling out of a dark cage, sad and scared eyes, hesitantly sniffing the extended hand.

Yes, it is very much a heartbroken aspect.

I am very nervous to say it's better, because I dont want them to be like "okay well cool we fixed it, goodbye for another 7 years"

I will see how the weekend goes. If it goes well, then I will praise. If it continues, I will encourage all my friends to come back. If it just goes back to the same pile it was....well, we had a good week guys.

I haven't checked yet, but some of my guildmates were saying that they are not experiencing lag, and that skills are firing smoothly and so on, therefore, so far at least, it seems these reports are true!

    Gotta give it time.

We generally get better performance after a patch/reset (not always) and then it slowly deteriorates back to something laggier.

Hopefully this won't be the case, but without proper confirmation from the producer on 'stability', we can just guess.

"Fixed" is a loaded term as there are a lot of fixes needed overall from performance to balancing. Has the most egregious servers issues of the past couple of months been addressed, yes it seems so right now but we'll see if the fix holds for the longer term. I'll be happy to jump back into Cyrodiil this weekend.

I've only played a little bit this week, but from my experience the performance is better, yes, but it's still not fixed. Like other have said there are still instances of crashing, bugs, desync, sound tearing, etc. I think PvPers have just forgotten what any kind of semblance of good performance feels like. All that being said though, it has definitely been a great step forward for PvP. We are just cautiously optimistic at the moment. Like others have mentioned, there is more celebration in the actual PvP forums.

We don't want to get our hopes up yet. We've seen improved performance before(especially during certain events) that turned out to be all too temporary once the event is over. If it's still running strong in a month 👍 great job.

Yes.... your server hasn't had the update yet, nor have the console servers. I don't think it's been said when EU is scheduled.

This might be too soon for me to say that the performance has definitively improved, but my experience has been positive since the 'hardware refresh'. It's not 100% perfect, but it's a lot better than before. I can say for sure because I don't find myself raging as often as I did which is evidence itself. :p

Pvpers have been suffering for so long it is hard to get optimistic lol. This weekend will be the real test.

Yeah, I know. I just read the title and gave the situation on EU currently. It'll probably be like a year before EU gets the same treatment considering ZOS' earlier statement. Such as shame as the main campaign is unplayable 90% of the time...

About to test the waters myself. Will strongly consider renewing my sub if its a noticeable improvement. Still not buying a chapter for a card game and a one bar mythic, but I will strongly consider my sub again.
