How cool or hot is your GPU when playing ESO?

My GPU is in towns or overland about 48 degrees, in raid or battles about 64 degrees.

Is this NVIDIA RTX or something else? I would love raytracing in ESO. I've got 80 RT cores that aren't even used. (3080 ti)

Its done through reshade shaders and does not use RT cores.

GPU at maximum 100% prolonged load gets up to 87 celcius and not further. In ESO when I crank up the graphics as much as I possible can I get up to 82 celcius. 82 celcius on maximum and on average around 80% load is acceptable I think.

If I set the absolute lowest graphics settings and a low resolution temps doesnt exceed 55 celcius.

Which leads me to say that theses votes aren't arent really all that interesting in the end, as it is highly influenced by the graphics settings of the users, the capabilities of the GPU and how adequate the cooling system is and none of this data is included.

The temperature depends on so many factors that it's actually pointless to ask other people what they have.
Framerate cap: the less frames to render, the less the card struggles.
The card performance abilities: the easier it is to render stuff, the less the card struggles.
Graphics settings in the game: the less heavy effects, draw distance, textures, etc, the less the card struggles.
Screen resolution: the less pixels to draw...
Not to mention the cards normal temperature limits that the manufacturer considers normal. It also depends on many factors. The form factor (laptop, PC), cooling system type, materials and technologies used to produce the card (like 90nm vs 40nm)...

    Exactly.

GPU temp is mostly affected by core voltage and cooling solution. Voltage allows to run core at higher frequencies, which gives those sweet FPS in benchmarks, so manufacturers often overlock GPUs. Cooling solution increases GPU price, so it is often very cheap. Also thermal paste dries after 1-2 years (if not dried by the sell time already) and needs to be replaced regularly.

GPU: RTX 2080 TI gaming x trio, playing in 4k(60 FPS). With aircooling, always between 54-58 degrees. I made sure it does not hit the 60 degrees, so the GPU won't draw much power.

For some reason only during loadingscreens my GPU jumps up to 60 degrees, and only does this with specific ESO updates. ZOS should really code this better.

PS: Both out of game, and in-game, my FPS is capped to 60. My monitor's max.
PPS: I would get worried if my GPU would go above 66 degrees. In that case my settings would be much too high, or something is seriously broken. Either way, it would be bad for the GPU to run that hot, especially for long timeperiods.
PPPS: I restart my PC after every playing session, after slowly letting my GPU cool itself down to idle temp.

Thats normal.. The game/gfx engine is re-crunching the shaders after an update. Every game will do this at some point loading after an update.

@SkaraMinoc Nope, not RTX, but that also means it runs on all GPUs, not just Nvidia. I run it on a 3080 but it doesn't utilize any of the RT cores.

It's a popular high-end Reshade shader, available from Marty McFly's patreon. It adds raytraced ambient occlusion, bounce lighting, and image based lighting. Especially nice for finer details like hood shadows. While you're looking into visual mods, you should check out Daybreak too to push the fog way back and thin it out a bit, without deleting it entirely (since it's beautifully atmospheric but a bit oppressive by default). Make use of that powerful GPU

I think this depends a great deal on how new and good your computer is. My old one, now dead, I could cook an egg. It got pretty hot and in the summer even with the AC I could swear it gave me hot flashes even with the AC. My newer one (1.5 years old) doesn't get very hot at all. I close the launcher as it looks like that actually helps it take less resources.

HWInfo64 logs my GTX 1080 as never going above 60c at 1080p Ultra settings and Reshade, even in trials. My CPU (R5 5600x) is under water so it isn’t dumping hot air into the case.

Use a decent airflow case (Phanteks P400A for me).

Nope, that's not it. For some reason after certain updates, the loading screens just tax my GPU more. Not once, constantly. For now it is fixed though, as the latest windows update removed this issue again. Which in a future update will be back probably. hehe

I use an AMD RX 580X, around 63-70°C (the highest in trials and Cyrodiil) in winter and 67-75°C in summer.
Although I think I need to replace the thermal paste on my GPU. Maybe it'll be better, but still not bad I think.

When I used to play on a gaming laptop it ran so hot that even the keyboard became hot to the touch lol

But now that I have moved on to a far more expensive setup, my new tower doesn't run nearly as hot. It's still warm and runs hotter then any other game I play, but it's far better now.
