90+ seconds is quick. I have zone load screens take 5+ minutes half the time.
I'm not sure what the OP is actually asking. Matt Firor himself specifically posted this hardware replacement was for RELIABILITY as parts were getting old, and that it would not improve performance at all. It is just so things don't break down due to age.
So knowing there was never a possibility of it improving performance of the game experience, and that you were never going to notice any change in day to day activities, is the OP asking if we APPRECIATE the server hardware replacement?
By asking if we like the "new" servers it implies they did something to upgrade the servers which is simply not the case. These are NOT "new" servers. They are the SAME servers with replacements to some of their parts. There is nothing "new" for us to like or not like. They literally just replaced some older parts with newer ones, but the new ones were exactly the same, just new.
Computer parts aren't like car parts. You can't have a hard drive that has bare treads like an old tire. So, replacing an old hard drive doesn't make you handle better, or allow safer breaking or driving in bad weather. It literally changes nothing, other than making it less likely to totally fail. In computers, hardware is either in a 1: WORKING state or a 2: BROKEN state.
There is no 3: WORKING WITH DEGRADED PERFORMANCE state in computers. In other words, there is no "damn, transmission is going bad" in computers where parts gradually break down and cause increasing performance loss like with mechanical/analog machinery. Especially now where hard drives are mostly solid state, removing the last mechanical component from the digital system.
So again, if knowing this OP is asking if we appreciate them swapping out old hardware, I am sure everyone can agree it is better than risking unexpected maintenance for a random dead drive. But to imply the servers are "new" or that performance was ever expected to improve due to this maintenance suggests a misunderstanding of the dev's own stated purpose.

Must have been an east coast ball group, us west coasters were greeted with a 2.5 hour queue when we got home from work!

Yeah, a lot of the EU Cyro folks have come to play on the "new hardware," and the queues reflect that. But ZOS apparently hasn't raised the population caps yet.... if ever.

I don't think they're going to raise them on one of six servers. I think if they raise them it'll be once everyone is done.

Why would you think they'd do otherwise?

Well they didn't wait until they had new servers for EU & Consoles also before starting work on NA. It would also be smarter for them to test it in once place first, to make sure they get it right in the others.

They don't even do maintenance for all servers at the same time, they were never going to do physical hardware swapping out in different global locations at the same time.
I've had zero noticeable lag in the main camp of cyrodiil since the maintenance was done. I'm still in disbelief and waiting for something bad to happen lol.

Try lowering graphics settings. You can also change userfile for tending issues
For some very odd reason, ESO load screens improve of you have more space available on hard drive you put it on too.
Also cheap option. If you put ESO on portal able nvme SSD 2.0 load screens go down from mins to seconds
On the same computer my ESO load screen changed from 5 mins to 5 secs

I agree they will wait because the amount of screaming that would come from the platform that was not raised would be epic. No one wants to deal with that.

The other platforms are already screaming about not having been upgraded at all, and PCEU and the folks that said they would come back if it got fixed are using the PCNA servers now for PVP as well, increasing the load on PCNA well above normal already, and negatively affecting the ability for folks that regularly play PCNA GH to login. So seems like a no brainer to up the cap, if even possible, just to accommodate *all* the PC players who have flocked to the upgraded servers.
