PvP skill line can be gained with monthly rewards, which i did. War horn may be useful in trials.

that wasnt always possible to do (login rewards didnt always exist), and only works on the toon you login with (and would also be incredibly slow)

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

If a game does not provide the rewards that YOU want, then perhaps it is time to find a new game? The other day I went through each of the AD zones to kill all of the world bosses JUST so I could clear my achievements for them. Was there a fantastic reward in it for me? Nope! But finishing off those achievements and clearing a little bit more off of my ESO to do list was more then enough of a reward for me.

However I can get how for other people they need something... more! But if ESO does not give you what you want, and you're not finding any enjoyment in playing it, then don't make yourself miserable by playing it in the hopes that one day you'll find the same value in getting achievements for the sake of achievements, like I do lol

I agree with the Impresario rewards being junk. Haven't seen something worthwhile for a very long time, it is always the same types of items that I have zero interest in. So the only thing about events is usually the XP buff, and some of the random stuff from the boxes, but even most of that falls under the categories of stuff I either don't care about or have so much of it is pointless.

They really need to widen the type of rewards they offer on events, if they wish to engage more of the player base with these events. Especially veteran players.

So instead of getting stuff for playing the game its better to have it all in crown store? Its not like u can have fun with housing without ESO+....
Just because u dont need those "rewards" doesnt mean they should only add "cool stuff" into crown store.

    In short:
    1. Mounts
In game - 1 or 2 per year (1 from events, 0-1 from HARDEST achievement in the game)
In Crown Store - Over 40 NEW per year (12 Radiant + 24 Apex + Mounts for Pre order or collector editions + some diffrent ones)
Its over 20x diffrence in amount... Of course if we count ende its a little better. But still.... its depressing that u get mementos for doing the dungeon while they put the mount for collector edition...
    2. Personalities
In game - 1 per year (event)
Crown Store - 1? (Im not sure there but i think its around 1)
So its 1 to 1. For me there should be more in both.
    3. Arms Packs (dungeons)
Well thats only in Crown store.
I think thats enough for short comparison of "cool" stuff. And i know that everyone likes diffrent things.

    In addition - Housing:
If u want to have fun u need to have ESO+ and thats a lot of money every year.
This year chapter has less new furnishings than previous ones (less than even some smaller dlc zones)
Every "big" house is for crowns - there is only 5 for gold and those are pretty old.
Price of some "crown" furnishings is crazy. Like over 1k for 1 thing xD u can buy zone dlc or 2 "better" furnishings for crowns. Oh well...

And im too lazy to write more. Rewards in game > Everything in crown store.
Also Motifs and Colors are "basic" things for me. Just like adding new companions or leads in chapters or dlc.

Im saying this as a person who plays "for fun". The thing is i would like if i could get cool stuff without going into crown store. And dont get me wrong. I understand that they need to make money. The thing is they get money for full year of ESO+, for new chapter (not this year tho) AND they put 98% (not counting furnishings) of stuff into crown store. For me thats too much.

Here is a link to the older thread about in game rewards where i did "small" comparison of "rewards" in DLC dungeons - https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/597224/the-inevitable-discussion-of-ingame-rewards/p1

Whenever someone starts asking what's the point of an activity based on their own personal opinion of the rewards, I'm strongly reminded of Belethor.

It's up to you to decide if a thing is junk or treasure worth seeking.

In full agreement here. Games like this have a lot going on and each of us enjoy different aspects of the game.

What’s the point of anything really? We live life because it’s all we’ve got. We play games because they make us happy. If they aren’t making you happy, you should take a step back and re-evaluate.

I’m having more fun with Tales of Tribute than I thought I would on PTS, but I doubt it will be more fun than battlegrounds when the novelty wears off. So… unless the rewards are unique, I probably won’t be playing much of it.

    Just my 2 cents…

No game is going to keep a person engaged every day from release to whenever the game is no longer supported or running or available. Eventually you'll get tired of any game you play regularly without some sort of break from it. If you're at the point where nothing is engaging, it's time to turn your attention to other games for a bit. Maybe a few days, maybe a few months, maybe longer. You're the only one who'll know how long the break will need to be.

I don't know what kinds of games you like, but my other go-to games are the Windows version of Minecraft (specifically the RLCraft 2.9 modpack), Binding of Isaac (with all the DLC for a [snip]load of content), and Inscryption. Usually I rotate between those three and also play ESO, sometimes playing the former more and the latter less, sometimes playing only ESO, sometimes playing only one of the others. It's all about giving yourself options so you don't get burned out entirely.

What's the point of anything in this crazy mixed-up world!? A sense of achievement? The pride of a job well done?
