High Isle PTS initial brightness setting problem

davidesuwaraub17_ESO
I can adjust the Gamma setting when 1st launching the new High Isle PTS, but there is nothing below to confirm the brightness adjustment. Anyone know how to get around this?

Someone else asked the same and got that answer:
I think the gamma issue can be fixed by closing and relaunching the game. Known bug.
It happens if you go there from skipping the accessibility dialog. If you relaunch you shouldn't get the accessibility dialog a second time.

On a new installation for whatever reason the creation of the UserSettings file is broken. You can't get past the gamma settings as there is no E button to press to continue the process. I have already reported this in another thread and ZOS did not take it seriously. You will not be able to get onto the PTS unless you copy the UserSettings file from the LIVE server to the PTS and manually change it to point to the PTS. This is the only solution but it is bad because it bypasses all the legal agreements you are supposed to accept during the initialization process but what are we supposed to do? ZOS really needs to fix this themselves instead of us relying on a workaround like this.

Thanks to you both for your helpful responses.... Initially I was trying to get out of the game setup using the task manager to "end task", but I restarted the launch again, and exited using Alt/F4 , then restarted, and was able to get in. Yay!

You're Welcome! Glad you found another way in. I did not know about the Alt/F4 method.

I ran into this issue with no way to continue past that screen but there's a very easy workaround for it:

Find the usersettings.txt file under documents > Elder Scrolls Online > PTS...

...and just change the 1 on this line: SET PregameGammaCheckEnabled "1" to a 0. That'll just skip the buggy gamma adjustment on any future launches.
