I did the new zone quest up to final(?) battle which was bit difficulty step and rather annoying cause new 0cp char @ lv 15 combined with my dusty skills. Fight was nicely telegraphed but npcs buggy and died plenty figuring out mechanics. I did complete the fight but I think I died so much things went totally ping and managed to bug the questline to step where I was to

exit All Flags Castle, because I already wandered outside before I got the objective.

    Too bad.
Actually I kind of liked the new zone, other than it's bit low on substance. At least it's not a nostalgia park. Assuming the card game is 100% ignorable (cause I will ignore it) I even might grab it from sale.
While I've been on break from ESO I've played a other games. A new MMO with typical catastrophe launch, exploits incuding many dupe bugs, faulty basic design and economy, and insufficient cut and paste content combined with uninteresting grinds. And also tried an old subscription MMO with increasingly hollow updates each making most of the game outdated and found its still bo-ring. ESO is far from perfect but trying other games does give a bit of perspective.

I uninstalled the PTS when this chapter was announced, its the most underwhelming and frugal ESO update ive ever seen, and it had some tough competition with the previous few years but this card game malarkey really took the cake.

Ive almost uninstalled the live server as well out of upset, and thats a shame as i really love ESO but this recent development direction feels like they are taking money away from ESO to fund a new ZOS project, And many players including myself have always opted to pay the ESO+ as a way of supporting the games development, and now after this, im feeling ripped off.

So yea, not on the PTS. and only hanging on live by a thread after this.

I was a beta tester on my main account. I used to test and comment on the PTS regularly. I gradually started posting less, and this time didn't bother to download it. I'm one of the missing anonymous faces, because I've realized:

    1. ZOS doesn't care about our opinions.
    2. The combat design over the past few years seems to be to nerf existing damage, introduce overpowered items with the chapter, and then nerf them to the ground a few months later. This reduces power creep in the top 1% of the population base but results in backwards drift in the remaining player base.
    3. The marketing design seems focused upon drawing new players and largely ignoring veteran players.

Given their player count, it must be working for them. But, I've changed how I spend my time in response.

Isn't much point. Didn't make sense to deal with it on two platforms/equipment pieces when I prefer to play on console and PTS is just 'live lite' because nothing gets fixed besides a handful of bugs and it generally all goes live the way it is anyway.

I uninstalled the PTS to save space, it's too much, why do we have to have a whole nother copy of the game?!
    Hoping for more playable races

On PTS we have barely playable version of the game. Also, with another chapter introduced, it looks like ZOS continue to punish people who are looking for motif farm.

    So.. Why to bother?

People here also say that ZOS ignore feedback. Do we really have any reasons to leave it or even make it, playing on PTS? Nope.

My ESO+ is ending in June. I don't think I'll renew it any time soon, or purchase this chapter.

I logged in to check out the card game, and was quite uninformed by the tutorial. I spent most of my time just randomly clicking things on the screen, usually to no effect. Eventually, I discovered that had somehow won the game.... but still have no idea how I did it.

They will probably need to fine tune the tutorial to make it more intuitive. And while I found the wood elf instructor's heavy Scottish brogue to be amusing, I do think it's unnecessarily distracting.

Both times when I logged out ESO v8.0.0 took down a lot of other programs with it and I had to reboot my PC. So, I'm going to stay out of it for now. Maybe have a look again when EU toons are on.

Yeah, with ESO resetting everyone's explorer.exe upon logout, it's a good place to stay away from. Who knows what else they are fiddling with in our non-ESO files.

    Simple answer:

2)HA builds was nerfed (not even may by HA builds but thats classic sets, that is affront to HA players.

    PVP is unplayable ok.

I totally feel for those players who relied on LA/HA sets because they needed them due to a disability.

Those sets were nerfed because they were being used in a way unforeseen by zos (in patch notes) but was brought to the devs attention because they were being overly abused in PVP. This is and always has been the reason for nerfs like these every patch so unless you're a new player you shouldn't be at all surprised. Almost every PVP meta is centered around some set(s) and/or skill(s) used in an unintended way. Pvp meta is OP and OP is broken and broken things get fixed/nerfed. It's a cycle we all know very well.

zos could have changed them to 'against non players'. As was proposed in this forum a great many times....

ShutYerTrap (selectively mute NPC dialogues (stuga, companions); displayleads (antiquity leads location); UndauntedPledgeQueuer (small daily undaunted dungeon queuer window)

I am not here as a beta tester as testing and giving feedback seems useless, I have the time and an innate interest in (for me) a very enjoyable waste of time.

I see no point as the player feedback is not acknowledged look at the AWA debacle,, largely ignored. So what's the point as Bastain likes to say?

Give me a reason to participate, please?

Maybe it's slow because many are not interested in this release. I've seen far more people saying they aren't going to get it than people who are getting it. So it would follow that less might bother checking it out on the PTS.

Yeah, I did get on PTS for an hour or so, but that pretty much confirmed my decision to not purchase this chapter. It will be barely worth seeing, when it gets included in ESO+ next year. Still may not bother though, that's how underwhelmed I was with it.

I really think ZOS needs to be more engaged with the players in directly ASKING what we'd like to see- but before asking- tell us what IS plausible. I mean, if they cannot add new classes, weapons, or other things, they should specifically say, "We'd like to know what you'd like us to add, but keep in mind 'x, y and z' are not possible at this time due to system constraints.

I don't recall hearing anyone specifically ask for a card game, perhaps 1000 people, maybe even 10,000 might like it, but MILLIONS may not. They say they wanted to add something that wasn't 'combat oriented' due to ESO being so combat-centric... but... that's what keeps the majority of players playing ESO! The quests, combat, dungeons, etc... a card game should not have been the focal point of an entire chapter IMO. A LOT of players use Companions so this should be a permanent addition to the chapters, but a card game?!? I don't even like cards IRL. I would like another weapon line, or class... perhaps they could FINALLY add Companion gear improvements and decon. If we cannot craft them gear, at least allow us to IMPROVE what they have. Would be nice to have Companions in gold gear!!

Totally agree. And to me not adding xyz shouldn't be a thing. If this is supposed to be one of the "massive MMORPG games" it should be treated as such. The biggest thing with eso that is a problem is you get 1 zone 1 dungeon and 1 trial usually off a full blown dlc. Once and a while you get a new class. Whereas one of it's biggest competitor in ff14 adds 2-3 new classes per major expansion, 5-6 new HUGE zones, 7-8 new dungeons 2-3 trials. Then a few weeks after the launch they launch 4 regular raids 4 extreme raids and a 24 man raids.

All this added while they are improving the game improving the lag and then they launch post game stories every 3-4 months with new content added. And their stories are massive like 50+ hours. It is literally the same price as eso charges for one zone and a story I usually beat in 3-4 hours........

To me it's just crazy. I have stopped playing eso due to them not fixing bugs (still bugs in the game from when it first launched like 8 years ago..........) And to top it off they do the bare minimum, don't communicate with players, and 99% of the time every dlc launches with major bugs weather it's broken moves or a broken dungeon. And it gets reported on the pts and they ignore it and launch anyways. Blastbones was legit broken (not always working) for around a year before they got around to fixing it that's not acceptable.

Ff14 actually delayed their expansion by two weeks to actually fix stuff that went wrong so I just don't get why eso can't? I mean they are supposed to be up their with the QUALITY of that game right? But servers are laggy still and not being fixed. Pvp is broken for literal years and then you say hey guys support us for a year while we hopefully fix pvp? I just don't get it lol.

They also shut down sales to new users (for months?) on a couple occassions wasn't it? Because their servers couldn't handle it and they needed to upgrade them. Once done, they re-opened sales to new users. They also put a queuing system in place to make sure their server weren't overloaded and could perform for those that were logged in. Oddly, it didn't take 1.5 years for their new equipment to arrive either, apparently they have better connections than ZOS for hardware.

Ya they were turned off because they had crazy crazy crazy amounts of wow players quit wow and join the game. It's the first time ever they had to stop sales. And as far as que I would much rather than than freezing constantly or seeing "this is an unusually long load time" each second you load or your abilities not firing without delay or bar swapping not working.

After this huge issue this year they literally upgraded their servers to handle the load within months of their launch....... Meanwhile eso barely has improved performance in 8 years. Idk man I would rather a working game that has content with a que timer than to have a game playing by wild wild west rules.

On that note tho if eso added more content (enough to warrant my hard earned money) and cleaned up all their lag/glitches then I would gladly love to play again because the combat especially for pvp used to be so amazing.
