Warden
- Animal Companions
- Feral Guardian
- Wild Guardian (morph):
- This morph now deals 10% more damage, up from 5%, to ensure it deals similar damage to Eternal Guardian when you take the Piercing Magic passive.
- This morph now converts the damage to Bleed Damage instead of Physical, and each attack applies the Hemorrhaging status effect. Wild.

You are forgetting the hemorrhage dot, so in the long run will be more damage than the magicka one

Thats the idea.
From my view, the Eternal guardian morph is supposed to obviously be the more Defensive Morph by giving it a 1 minute resurrection mechanic and because it has magic damage, benefits from Piercing cold.
Wild guardian was Clearly designed to be the more Offensive Morph by converting its magic damage into (in the case of pts) Bleed damage and increasing its damage done so as to be a good option for burst DPS in most cases.
The Hemorrhaging status application is a nice touchup though, as in the current live game prior to this comment post, physical damage applying sundered as good as it was, there are other sources of easier sunder application be it through some abilities accessible as a tank, would pretty much make it slightly hard on wild guardian to deal optimal damage.
The touchup to wild guardian is what was needed to make its existence as an offensive morph a good option for DPS, if players want the guardian to have more survivability at the cost of some damage, thats where eternal guardian comes in. Plus since piercing cold allows eternal guardian to match the damage of wild guardian in its current pts state anyway, I think from there it is balanced.

The trouble here is that in PvE you'll always choose the higher damage morph because the bear can't die in group content. What is needed is utility on one morph, damage on the other.

For what exactly? The first thing that comes to mind is pvp for the respawn and anyone using bear in pvp has a target on their back because it's just not good for that type of enviornment.
Solo pve? Are we really saying we need 1 morph dedicated to surviving a world boss or a solo arena?
To me, it sounds like an absolute failure of balancing the morphs properly. It's the wrong way to give it an auxillary effect. The primary reason people use bears are for pve dps and 1 option is just an objective win, which is the same problem there is on live.
Are the morph options better? Yes.
Did they fix the problem. No. It's just been shifted the other direction.
