Taverns and Inns - cool but useless

I was hoping the card game was going to take advantage of being in the tavern atmosphere. Where you could see your players sitting, here the bards and surrounding environment, partake in drinks. That was the primary reason for being one of the many suggesting tavern games. To build more life into hanging around taverns around down time from battle. And just soaking in other players and thier style in a more social feeling environment. Maybe make them a place to search for groups instead of craglorn for trials. Maybe have taverns unlock a universal chat across all zones when searching for trial/dungeon/arena groups and give reason to temporarily congregate regardless of zone or instances.

Overworld RP is already nearly dead, please don't kill it anymore.

I actually had no idea of these trolling problems that RPers face... but a question for you..
Is RP dead because of troll players, or because games are not creating systems to incentive it??

    Long live the META!

Games don't need to incentivize RP for RP to flourish. How successful RP is in a game is entirely contingent upon the community's attitude towards RP. I would also say that, unlike other aspects of the game, no ticket complaining about players ruining others' RP is going to be taken seriously enough to be acted on even if it is legitimate. So, RP either dies or it goes underground as a result.
Actually there is nothing RPers can do. Trust me, tickets upon tickets have been sent in. With no effect.

I'm pretty sure that was the point I was trying to make.

I've had pms from people getting SUPER offended because they saw people rp posts in their chat. I doubt the huge trolling issue on RPers would be as bad if PvErs did not feel as if they were forced to be in the same servers as RPers. I've ran community events for multiple guilds and I've yet to have one where a PvEr hasn't decided to run around and troll it. You'd see cities more alive with players RPing if we had a separate server for it... oh and if ZOS would stop quest locking places... there is no reason the temple of Akatosh could only be accessed at the end of the DB quest.

"their chat" - I couldn't imagine people being that obnoxious! I'm a PvEr, I started playing ESO for the lore in 2016 I think, and since then spent most time just doing story quests alone. And I don't have a clue why some people feel bothered by roleplayers. Not at all. If I see people roleplaying somewhere, I either read their texts if they're amusing (or might even join in for a bit, if I have time), or if it's not my cup of tea, I just ignore them (not as "put on my ignore list" but I just don't read what they write). They have exactly the same right as me to be there and to use the chat. I even think it's fun to see groups of roleplayers every now and then because they make the area seem more crowded, more vivid (the only exception: ERP should take place in private, in my opinion). I'd miss it if they were all gone. It's weird, really, how some people seem to feel entitled that everything should be like they personally want it to be, while playing a multiplayer game, which in it's core is a social experience in which you meet people who are different than you, who care for different things and might have a different playstyle. MMOs are basically a place where compromises and tolerance are essential to get along.

I think Inns should provide a "Rested" buff like there is in other MMOs. E.g. Stay/Have your character logged out in an inn for a certain amount of time then you get an exp buff.

Agreed! I'd like to see a nice buff for buying Miri a drink or renting a room or something.

Yes, and while we're at it: Please give us a buff for logging out inside our own homes too (normally I would have said "for using our bed at home", but as they can't be used yet...).
