Is High Isle really as small as it looks?

Question goes out to people on the PTS as I don’t have access. I am wondering if it really is super small or if it is the size of a normal zone and just looks smaller on the map.

Same size as previous chapters like Blackwood or Morrowind. Slightly larger than Summerset. e8dhkj6aohbr.png

The size is similar to Summerset. According to lore, Maps are inconsistent and are frequently misrepresented.

The map is smaller on the world map, but the zone itself is bigger than summerset for sure.

I played on the Preview server for ten hours and barely scratched the surface of the zone. The 30+ hours of content that has been suggested is the same as previous Chapters, and very likely correct.

It is. For now it is mostly closed and there is not that many POI you can grab.

Hopefully, they'll open another build on PTS, since current is not that good

This is super cool, can you tell us how you managed to get this 1:1 scale? Did you make that? Is there one for the entire map?

How did you manage to figure out what the size of them should be to match 1:1 in the overworld view? Is it like some sort of test where you time yourself running from 2 points at the same speed to figure out the scale of the zones?

That's cool. I don't think I've ever seen the map done like that before. The closest I can think of is a redditor making a map that compares the zone maps to the world map.

Is there a source for this? Is there an entire map of Tamriel done in this style?

Hi all, just to confirm. We have said that the the High Isle zone will take roughly 30 hrs to complete, in line with our other Chapters. While the Isle of the Systres is small on a map, the actual in-game playable area is much larger than the picture because it isn't to scale. So there is plenty of room for everyone to explore and mess around in.
