What is the least populated zone

I would think the older DLC zones or the layer base gane zones like Malabal Tor would win for lowest amount of players. When we the issues with the event were happening I hung out in Gold Coast and didn’t have too many issues. What do you guys think? I originally thought Wrothgar but it seems like people are farming pariah now more than ever for pvp.

Craglorn is extremely populated. Great guild trader location. The wayshrine is always crowded with people. Then there's folks farming surveys, antiquity leads, or nirncrux.

Not Wrothgar. I've been playing through the story there recently and mentioned to my guild yesterday that there's a surprising number of people around. Apparently it's still quite popular, both for the stoy and because some of the item sets are popular so people will farm them.

I'm not sure where would have the fewest players, there's too many maps I don't visit often for me to make a decent guess.

No idea, really. Any zone or delve or public dungeon I go to seems to have other players there, although the number of players may fluctuate throughout the day due to people being in different time zones. I do think that the base game zones tend to be more crowded than I'd expected, but I think that's because a lot of players might not have access to all the DLC zones and the latest chapter zone, just to whatever zones are freely accessible within the base game.

Players standing around town selling or looking for carries aren't really experiencing the zone. I don't see very many at all in the delves or doing quests or world bosses when I've been there.

    Vvardenfell
I'd argue Vvardenfell is the least populated if we consider the entire zone.
V City is usually fairly busy but head out into the rest of the zone and it feels empty.

Maybe I'm just going there at less popular times, but it seems like whenever I have a survey or map to scout out I'm lucky if I see another player. Especially given that, if I *was* going to encounter players in the wild I'd expect it would be more likely near the survey\map locations.

Logic dictates coldharbour since it's the only zone you have to unlock and as far as I know there's nothing really worth farming there. But I have no clue honestly.

The zone I personally visit the least is Murkmire because I hate it.

There are other time zones, just because somewhere is empty during your playtime does not mean its always empty.

I tend to find the DLC zones, tend to be more sparsely populated outside of events featuring the specific zones, while base game zones I almost always end up running into someone else fairly quickly after entering the zones.

I play out of peak times, so for me, zones are never much populated, no matter where. Only towns have more players.

Personally, I enjoy that a lot. With the ESO concept that many things ( resources for example) once killed/used/taken by a player are no more available for the next player, there is a sort of competition between players within PvE zone that I don't like much. I'm glad to play at "empty" times. :D

The question should be, "which are the most populated areas?" Which are (excluding the pvp areas):
    Vvardenfell (best area for crafting)
Craglorn (manual trials group finder-> i say link the achievement!)
    Deshaan (pledges, crafting area, etc)
    Stormhaven ((pledges, crafting area, etc)
    Grahtwood (pledges, crafting area, etc)
Reaper's March (best crafting area, some vampire and ww in the area)
The Rift (easy to be bite here)
    Glenumbra (starting area)
    Auridon (starting area)
    Stonefalls (starting area)
Alik'r Desert (i have to improve my fighter guild now, dolmen dolmen dolmen)
    Western Skyrim (new starting area)
    Some new areas (momentary loves)

Does it matter? There will always be a zone with less players than all the others. At least with One Tamriel it's not as bad as in other MMO's where most of the older zones are deserted. All overland zones are equally relevant, albeit too easy for a lot of players, but that's another discussion.

Not THE MOST underpopulated but both Elsweyr and Greymoor highlighted the problem of introducing world events (dragons and harrowstorms) that assume absolutely massive population levels. Once everyone's done the chapter, they become fiendishly difficult / impossible to do.
