2 Achievement account questions

If I delete a character that unlocked an achievement, will that achievement still be unlocked but the character's name will be wiped or would it just remove the achievement permanently.

Is it possible to overwrite earned achievement by getting the same one on a newer character?

Question 1:

If you delete the character nothing changes in the achievement info. Basically it's a waste of time deleting a character to try and change anything with achievements, nothing changes you just lose your character.

Ah, well dang.

I have couple of characters with dumb names that I plan to delete since I don't play them but had to hop on them to get my items back and event boxes..........

Since achievements are now account bound, you can delete ALL your characters and the achievements will still be completed and never able to be replayed. They will just say “Earned by: [blank]”.

Ah, well thats slightly better.

I just got annoyed with the Earned by part since my names are dumb because can't think of a good name lol

Use a name change token? Would that work to change the name on the achievement?

Actually, in my experience deleting a character led to the "earned by" text being deleted. It may be a bug, but either way it has worked for me, fyi.

Maybe but would be to costly to use on a character I don't plan using.
