Have you been using your Alts for this Jester Fest inspite of AwA?

I'm just curious to know what you guys have been doing,
as for me, my alts would have particpated, but the my main has all the cheevos I cared to get/could get with Jester event, so they're benched
It's an anonymous, poll, but feel free to add something if you like tho

I do the event for the tickets. Boxes I have been getting aren't worth the time and nuisance of the event requirements. I don't worry about getting tickets for my Alt account.

Its an excuse to get a couple of alts into delves they havent been in before (so skyshards).

I never cared for this particular event. I've only participated once ever. I'd rather run dungeons. But I'm glad others are having fun.

Of course. I have my high 30s that are doing the event stuff for XP. I don't actually care about the boxes, I care about getting them to 50 between this event and Jubilee.

Why ever not use alts? *shakes head* Oh.... are you on about achievements? I don't DO achievements. Silly kid stuff.

No, I'm a bit frustrated with the state of the game lately, so dealing with some of the issues is something I'm avoiding when I can. So at this point, I'm doing the minimum and just getting my tickets each day. Plus I'm not a fan of the style pages for the event either, so I don't feel the need to get them.

Also, I never did alts because of achievements during events, so it wouldn't have anything to do with AwA either way. (I have done them in events though just for extra boxes).

I've rarely used my alts for it, even before. Because I don't care about the achievements. And nowadays, I just do one daily in Auridon, for the tickets & gold box. (the other dailies are annoying. If I were to do more than one, I would use alts, if only so I could just do the Auridon one multiple times and avoid the other two entirely)

You know, I get that you don't like achievements or feel the need to play in a way that involves them in your gameplay. Your way of playing is perfectly valid, and I respect that. But I find calling them "kids stuff" to be highly disrespectful to those who enjoy playing in such a way that either involved the reward of achievements, or who used achievements for other purposes. Such an attitude minimizes the concerns of those who have strong feelings about them and are genuinely affected by their absence.

Just because you think they're kids stuff, doesn't make them kids stuff to others, and their feelings about missing the festival achievements are perfectly valid. Either wanting a reward, or doing them for sentimental reasons on a new character, is not wrong. No one should be ashamed of wanting them back.

Regardless of whether this is how you intended your post or not, I'd simply like others to know that they are not silly for missing achievements.


As to the OP's question- I have only done them on one character and plan to do them on a few others out if sentiment. However, the pleasure I take in doing the festival on new alts is significantly diminished by the absence of character specific achievements. I used to do holiday achievements on new characters to mark the year they were made, and not having that saddens me. They were also another way to mark another year of playing ESO with my mother and father- we always do events together. All of us miss them.

Tickets per day quickest way possible, so just killing the boar once per day.

Tried the new quest found it tedious and the "band" disappointing, nothing in the reward boxes that I want.

The amount of non vendorable stuff in the boxes and even the cider made from the apples can't be sold to a merchant that drives me nuts too! 😱

However I have to say I have prepared ALL my characters as crafters ready for Anniversary Event, I will be using every one of them everyday during that. 🤣

I've been levelling alts, and doing some quests on them to get boxes.
Im still angry those toons cant earn the achievements tho, so Im not doing it as much as I normally would. Normally i'd be screaming thru every quest. Now, Why bother doing it.

pretty sure I'll use my alts for some events, just not this one, how many jester coffers, and banners does one need anyway?

Yes my goal is to level skills for most of my alts this event so I’m grinding Dolmens for XP and jewelry to decon. Also as @kringled_1 noted, Skyshards.

My alts don't play this game. They do a crafting writ and that is sole job they have here. No point in them doing anything, when it's all been done by my main of 7 years.

I do quest in stonefalls on different character each day to get extra box and gold for introduction quest in addition to gold box and tickets for pig quest. That’s all there is to it for this event. No reason to play it more than once per day because rewards are bad and unsatisfying. Achievements have nothing to do with it.

Nope. The goal for this event was to get back up to 12 tickets, one qualifying quest per day, even if it means discarding a couple that would send me over the limit. After that, done with events until Anniversary event, which is hopefully a one-and-done.

No. My main didn't have any of the jester event achievements, so on the first day, I spent a few hours getting as many as I could. Since then, she does one quest/day to get tickets and that's it.

AwA has removed most of my motivation to play alts.

No and even more, with my main, I have done two quests only, due to lack of interest for more. I stopped.

I wouldn't have done the event on alts regardless of AwA.. I just get my tickets and move on.

The drop rate for style pages hasn’t been great for this event, so this one is only using the main character for the ticket and gold box.

Since AWA, I don't really have a main anymore. So are they all Alts??? Not a fan of this event; so I did them on a driveby with whatever character was in the area. I play 5ish characters fairly regularly and equally now. The others will get brought out for the anniversary event though. Before AWA, I played one main and then 1 alt (which was the one I actually enjoyed.

I am doing the bare minimum. But I've always done the bare minimum with this event, I don't enjoy all the loading screens.

On the weekend I did a round of all the quests (I was away for a year or so due to real world issues) and so it was nice to see some new quests.
The gold box seems to have the most coveted rewards.
I will do one quest a day to unlock the gold box and gain 3 tickets then go back to dungeon running

AWA has no effect on whether or not I'm using my alts. The purple boxes are just not worth the effort so I haven't been using alts for that reason. This particular event heavily incentivizes the first box of the day and massively disincentivizes anything beyond that box.

You beat me to this. I was doing them on alts, but the purple boxes are full of crap that I destroy. Not doing them anymore.

I don't pay much attention to Awa or achievements and Awa doesn't bother me. If Marcus wants to participate in the Jesters festival he does, then if I think Casper would like to then he will. All the Alts have different stories. Marcus is a bit concerned about kidnappng the princess though.

I've said no, but that is no different to previous years TBH. I just do one quest to get the tickets and the golden box on one character

I do it for the tickets, and did it on different toons before. I really am getting bored at that constant howling about the Achievements. It's just useless e-preening, and whether they are there or not, is actually quite immaterial.
