Sorry for my question but what's the point of this feature? Is there any advantages ?
It’s hilarious riding around with a companion in the backseat.
Good thing Companions cannot be assigned to use the mounts as drivers, imagine seeing out of control mount trains across Tamriel.

The owner of the mount is always the "driver", so there's no chance your companion could take over.
Not sure how many will be available on launch (possibly 3 spiders and 1 horse)... on the pts there were two, a spider and a horse, both available from crown store. I'm not sure you will be able to get access them without actually buying them with crowns.

Personally I don't even want a multi companion mount as they look far to stretched even with two, but I guess they will sell well as there is no accounting for realism in this game any longer.
