Sadly we get only one in eso. (Not so bad cuz it's free).
Why We dont get more robes if Mages Guild Story line?

Are you talking about the "Mage's Guild Formal Robes" Costume?

There's also the Mage's Guild Research Robes, and besides that almost EVERY other gear set in Light has a "robed" version. Mind you I don't know why they even bothered with the Mages Robes costume when it pretty much looks exactly like the Ancient Elf Light set.....

Also just to pre-empt anyone, I know, I know that the Knight of the Flame and the Lion Guard Knight Costumes are also rip offs of the Breton Heavy and I am sure there are many others.....

Did the College of Winterhold quests in Skyrim award many robes? I thought the quest rewards were mainly jewellery, which is also what the Mages Guild quests give in ESO, along with spells or skill books.

But either way the simple answer is it's different games with different item and reward structures. There are a lot of robes available in ESO - one for each item set, as well as the generic basic versions. Many of those come from random drops so you can get them from enemies during quests or from the random loot containers given for completing daily quests, but none of those sources are guaranteed to give you just robes. That's actually better in this game because most characters aren't just going to wear light armour and even if they do they'll want the full set, not just 1 piece.

On the cosmetic side of things any time you get a chest piece motif you've got a new robe (and also a short light armour top, a medium armour one and a heavy armour one).

This one agrees - the Skyrim the mages robes look much better than ESO.

I want robes that make me look like Earth Wind & Fire.

And no, that's not a reference to the Last Airbender.

There's also a mages guild variation with trousers. Can't remember what it's called offhand.

I think it's called "Mage's Guild Laundry Day Outfit"

it's simply called Mages Guild Leggings Uniform, it's part of a 3 pack sold in the CS for 700 crowns from time to time

Skryim had a Mage's Guild!?!? I thought it was disbanded after the Oblivion Crisis.

Anyways, with how many robes there are in ESO if you don't like the Mage's Guild formal, everyday, and trouser variants you can instead go with the Antiquarian's robes. That one looks like something a mage on the go would wear, or any other kind of robed outfit.

Skyrim had the College of Winterhold, not the Mages Guild. And the only robes worth using in Skyrim were from mods.

Well... no... college of winterhold in Skyrim gave you only two robes. Novice robes of destruction when you first join (robes are not unique to the college either and you can find them anywhere in the game too). As well as the arch mages robes when you finish the questline (only unique outfit to the college). The other robes you can find in the world, or buy from npc merchants. So really there's not much difference in Skyrim and eso.

In eso there is a mages guild robe pack you can buy with three robes in it. If you have to have a robe that says mages guild in the name. But there are literally hundreds of robe variations in the game through the different motifs that you can find or buy. Mages guild never had a set uniform tbh. Everyone just wore what they wanted. So just wear whatever you want. Breton robes are good for a more toned down mage look. But if you're asking for free robes costume with the Mage's Guild, that's not going to happen. The only update those quests have gotten is getting a dye as a reward when dye station first came out. They're not going to be getting another update to rewards or the quests anytime soon.

I recall there being a Mage Staff you could earn in Morrowind. I regarded that as a sort of badge of office for mages guild members at the time. Upon thinking about it, I wonder why there wasn't a full motif made with the various guilds in mind. Undaunted get a motif, kind of, in the form of Mercenary motifs I think. It would make sense if they added motifs for the guilds at some point, in my opinion.

There are motifs for the guilds that actually have uniforms. Dark Brotherhood and Psijic for example. But Undaunted, Fighters Guild, and Mages Guild have never really had set uniforms. I'm assuming that's why there are no set styles for them.
