Perfect Roe Not Dropping

Since the last patch, perfect roe has not been dropping when filleting fish. I usually see a 1.7% drop rate. In the last 3 days, I have filleted roughly 500 fish, and not one perfect roe has dropped. Zero.

You're hypothesizing that the current rate is now 0% based on your own sample size of just 500 fish. If the current rate is actually 0%, this thread will get quite a bit of traction quickly as others come in and confirm. I suspect that you are just having a bad streak of RNG. I've tracked over 10000 fish (and others have done more I'm sure) and see very close to a 1% roe rate over time. Your 1.7% seems high to me and perhaps you've seen some good luck in the past, making this current streak seem even worse by comparison.

I also have been getting zero Roe for about two months. I gave up on fishing until they fix it.

I typically have horrific rng. However, just the other day I was doing some fishing and had like 400-500 fish to fillet and got 4 perfect roe. Likely will not get anything good for myself for the next 6 months lol.

I was just fishing for a lead on Artaeum a couple of days ago and got 1 perfect roe after filleting only about 60 or 70 fish.

Over the last 2 weeks my wife and I have filleted about 1,500 fish between our 2 accounts and have gotten 13 perfect roe. She has gotten more of them than I have, I am at around 5 for 700. Xbox NA

Last week I started a new account. went fishing for the first time in auridon. caught 7 fish. went off do something else.
Filleted them later - got 1 Perfect Roe. Again, out of 7 fish. Whatever the percentage is (probably 1%) it is low enough that there can always be long streaks of 0 roe. They don't have to change anything. The percentage is simply that low and depending on the day, your Luck may be running hot or cold. My other account has Master Fisherman. Without ANY CPs in fishing. One zone It took about 400 fish to get all 12 trophies. Another zone took around 1200. It just depends on how your luck is running. Sometimes its better to just stop and try again a different day.

He is reporting his data. Not your data. Trying to see if its rng or bad luck.

This is an eroneous reply to his report. He is now tracking under .01 so what is your point. Hell I feel the pain of this on the market. So, regardless of your mathiness, perfected roe is not making its way into recipes and those recipes are not yielding food the traders. Food Economy in shambles.

The title of the post is "Perfect Roe Not Dropping" I said they are hypothesizing that the drop rate is zero and I absolutely stand by that assumption based on the data and information given in the original post.

He is reporting data, but then drawing conclusions based on just that data which is a small sample size. He has every right to draw conclusions and others have every right to dispute those conclusions by providing more data.

As the thread continued, more data was provided and any issues became more clear. That is a good thing. More data leads to better information. If you're suggesting that I should have just said nothing, then I disagree completely. Providing a counter point or pointing out conclusions based on minimal data is something that should be encouraged to provide a full picture of any given situation.

Having said all that, I do still agree with your final point. In my opinion, Perfect Roe is at a price point higher than I want it to be as well, however, my feelings don't change the numerical data that leads to that situation.

Probability of success on a single trial: 0.01
    Number of trials: 500
    Number of successes (x): 0
    Binomial probability: P(X = x): 0.00657048304

Unfortunately you just experienced a 6.5% chance event - keep going and you will get it

I got 10+ over the last week so it's certainly still dropping

I believe it is actually 0.65% chance of it not happening on 500 attempts, not 6.5%. But still ... 0.65% is like a 1 in 152 chance of it happening. With hundreds of thousands or maybe even millions of active players, 1-in-165 events will happen. That is very, very far from the kind of bad luck that would indicate a bug in the loot table.
