Still having extremely long character load after today's emergency patch

Today's maintenance broke the game. The emergency maintenance didn't fix anything. They should have rolled back today's maintenance during the emergency maintenance.

Expect major downtime later today or tomorrow.

I can't enter instance, cannot port to player, cannot use wayshrine, cannot even CAMP. But I CAN use all my abilities inside Elden Root. Haven't made my way to an enemy yet but if this is any indication.... omegafacepalm.

ESO is also drawing immense amounts of resources from my system, CPU usage, memory usage and disk usage all seem much higher than normal.

I was encountering a few issues after the major patch, then it started getting better.

After maintenance this morning, most of my "game time" is spent on loading screens.

I consider that unplayable at the moment. I guess I'll check back this weekend and see if it's better.

seeing as these sort of issues are a common occurrence and not really a surprise, will we get an extension to the 'surprise event' ?

Update: I disabled all my add-ons and now cannot even get past character screen. So much for the blame-the-addons antic.

Not a NEW problem. This was reported in bugs and in previous posts in general well before they did the extended maintenance. It's just new to you, I guess.
