Still having extremely long character load after today's emergency patch

Launch and getting to character select screen is fine. But I've been sitting at "requesting" character load for 3 minutes and counting, The background hasn't even switched to the zone I'm logging int yet.

Yep took quite a while to get in just now and I made the mistake of going to the outlaw refuge in Vvardenfell. Stuck there...loading screen after loading screen

Ah man, this really sucks. I got queued for the 1 second login again. Hope they can get it figured out soon.

I just tried to log in (PC/NA). Got to the character select screen with no problems but have now timed out twice when trying to log in to a specific toon.

Finally got in after about 5 minutes.

Changing zones (tried it a few times going from just outside Mara's Kiss in VG to just outside Snugpod in Grahtwood) was very slow first time but then got faster in subsequent trips back and forth.

Logging out to try new character load took longer than usual but better than earlier today.

Trying to log in a different character (one I had played earlier just to rule out any per character fetch from cold storage if that's even a thing) currently about 3 minutes stuck at "requesting character load" again with this one.

Hello. I got the login queue of 1 sec. Went for a bio, made some coffee, came back and it was a very long one second. Quit the game. Got to the character selection screen and well... still waiting. I truly hope that this is just from everyone logging in to see what is happening with the game.

So far, 5 mins to load character in, chat continues to lag horribly--some messages take 30-60s to appear, some never go thru--zoning is a real commitment.... it takes 2-3 mins, so you really have to want to go. Only thing I haven't encountered compared to this morning is the inability to log off. But then again, I haven't tried

Well, I'm in Cyro and nothing has really changed. Still takes an extremely long time to transit from keep to keep. I haven't checked pve-land.

Still long load screens, Cyrodiil map isn't updating, i.e. I take a resource and it doesn't show as taken for about 5 minutes, I place a camp and it doesn't show on the map for several minutes, etc.

When I did get signed in, I got dropped from the server for 'excessive spamming' from trying to retrieve my mail attachments.

Sorry to say login and log off are taking a long time. I am not sure anything has been resolved.

I'm at a resource in cyro. The map says that it is lit... nothing is going on and there are no enemies.

I'm curious what exactly was done during the 3-4 hours of downtime? Did they do the fixes and put back up the old version by accident? We can only hope.

I also noticed the Explorer's Event is gone on top of no issues being fixed.

I'm still getting double harvests, but load screens remain very long.

I had absolutely no issues before today's maintenances, and now it's taking several minutes to log in or log out. Haven't tried switching zones yet.

the explorers event should be active until tomorrow morning according to the news article on the main site, it should be active 3/17-3/22

Forever to log into a character. Then when logging off the character, it won't log off so I have to crash the game. Then it tells me I am already logged into the game when I try to log back in minutes later.

I've been patient today. Just going with the flow. But when updates break things that seemed to be fine on top of making changes that many are displeased with, that ruins things that aren't even part of those changes and then makes the game not functional, I'm just baffled.

We lost game time for what? What was fixed? To me it is exactly the same as before. Only now my mount timers will be off. Can we get a once a day timer finally? please

Obviously not everything is fixed. Some acknowledgement of the continued and as yet unresolved issues would be a nice thing.

But hey the crown store works. Time for a beer.

Not sure what was "fixed" by today's sudden maintenance, but, it's still "broken," at least on PC-NA:

• Loading a character, from selecting the character in the character selection screen to showing the character in the world, took about 3 and a half minutes.
• Chat message lag is measurable & unpredictable, to the point of making conversations in guild chat difficult to follow.
• No logout timer - dialog reads "You will logout in 0 seconds." immediately upon display. The actual logout time, from the time I clicked "LOG OUT" to when the character selection screen is displayed, took about 3 and a half minutes.
• Upon log out, instead of being returned to the character selection screen, I'm returned to the login screen with the "Unable to connect to game server." error. Logging back in brought me to the character selection screen.

Its really really really bad y'all. The developers are going to need to do something drastic here. Roll back or something. The sacrifice will be great but continuing with this will have greater consequences...

Same here have been on this loading screen long to go to the kitchen make a cup of coffee and drink it.

New problem: chat server. Typed in guild chat and it took about 2 minutes to show up. Typed a few more times and some things are going right away and others take time... to the point that a couple of times things I typed later showed up before something I had typed before.

Things are bad guys, very bad.
