AWA - Account Wide Achievement Question

I have three characters: one character who has completed all of the EP quests, one who has completed all the DC quests and six who have completed all the AD quests. When the AWA hits will that mean all characters will have completed all EP, DC and AD quests? I really hope I don't have a good grasp on how this is going to work as this will be quite sad.

Also say I make a new character a month after AWA hits. Will it automatically have all the completed quests like the zone quests as well as Summerset, Southern Elsweyr and Deadlands for example if other characters have completed them?

AwA doesn’t complete quests. It may mark locations on your map as completed. But so far, there’s only a select few quests that may be unobtainable if already completed at least once.

I figured since it was an achievement for each zone under Exploration, it would auto complete the zone and I couldn't take all my other existing characters through the main and side quests. I am working on Cadwell's Silver right now and didn't want this to auto complete.

Museum quests will be locked. All map locations will be marked as found/completed on all alts if your main has done them all. Dialogs tied to quests and storylines will change or not happen.
AwA should not go live in this state.

My main? I have two characters from early release and I don't play them. They are around for crafting and writs only. One has completed EP and one has completed DC and AD. My other six characters I rotate into different zones constantly. Is AWA going to consider my oldest character my main? If that is the ONLY character it pulls from them I won't have a lot auto completed.

I must say this AWA idea is not a good idea at all. Why have different characters if one character is going to auto complete everything.... I am guessing it won't apply to new characters made after AWA release?

No. It will pull from all characters and whoever finishes completing the achievement first (for example, gets a counter to 100) will get the “earned by” status on the achievement tooltip.

Museums have been fixed since those achievements are now character bound. Many character dialogues are still attached to the character's quest log. The only examples I've seen evidence for as being bugged are Clivia's dialogue to accounts with the Emperor achievement and the issue in NElsweyr with the two queens.

There are a few places that haven't been fixed yet, but there's only one quest that is known to be broken, which may be an edge case of trying to do the same quest on two characters at the same time.

Yes, I do think AwA should be delayed until everything is smoothed out. I hate that the non-quest conglomerate achievements like Melina Cassel are now one-time only since ZOS didn't address those. I hate that the map shows things as completed across all characters. I hate that Antiquities just got even more grindy to level up. But fearmongering and saying that the game is unplayable is not going to help anything.

But for me it will be - and for many others too.
Killing Character history in a RPG is by far the dumbest idea i heve ever witnessed in this context.

AWA won't auto-complete the quests or prevent you from doing them on other characters, it just means when you complete them you won't get a thing popping up on the screen to tell you that you've completed it, that will only happen the first time.

2 Quick Questions:

1. Skyshards: Any skyshards that have been found on one character will now show as found on my other characters?

2. Lorebooks: Lorebooks found on one character will show as being found on the other characters and the Mages Guild skill line will advance?

both of those will still be per character

i dont know 100% but i think the skyshard achievements will be account wide, but you still have to physically collect the skyshards on each toon (this is one of the points i think people made about broken addons and tracking)

I get why they want to put AwA in, what I don't get is the way they are doing it. If an achievement rewards something such as unlocking a color or item once then that should be an AwA but as for titles those should be character based. The way they are implementing this system just doesn't make much sense at the moment.
