Guild work station housing

For those of you guild or not who have a large collection of work stations, are most of you using the flat at Coldharbour?

I have one at Coldharbour - my PC NA second account. My PC NA first account uses the Lunar Hall (not sure what the area is called, not in game right now).

My PC EU accounts are "younger" and don't have as many stations, so one uses the N Elsweyr meadow and the other uses the Villa.

I just grab stations as I can when they're places I don't want to go - and if they're sets I wind up with a lot for writs.

My main guild coldharbour is set up arena style, large flat base where the dummies are, then stairs up and around it where all the crafting stations, mundus stones are.

One of the guildies has their own house with all stations in, they have used Moon Sugar Meadow

I've seen guild use the Moon Sugar Meadow house too. Which is also a big empty lot. More hilly then the Coldharbour one. Another guild also took the big Clockwork city house, added platforms extending out from the house over the ledge near the entrance, and basically made their own giant flat platform on it.

I am currently building my personal craft house in Potentate's Retreat in Southern Elsweyr. In the outside area I have built up a big floor space with the Solitude Platform, Ornate Tile floor furnishing.

I have many houses where I have created massive floor spaces with that tile for various Showcase houses. There are quite a few houses that can be used for a big craft house tbh.

I'm building mine in Doomchar right now. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to fit everything in the front end where everything is flatter, then put the mundus stones in the dirt area at the back end. The center is where I have the transmute station/banker/outfitter etc.

ZOS really should rethink how items count in housing in general. A tiny spoon counts as much as a crafting table does which counts as much as a big wall placed in your house. This limits the creativity of plenty of players besides forcing players to "outsource" plenty of things to various houses. There is a reason why items that give the impression of including plenty more items, such as filled bookshelves and the like, are much more wanted than the ones you have to fill by yourself simply due to the fact that each item you place in your home counts and the total number of items is limited.

ESO currently has 68 crafting sets in game with 3 new ones being added each addon and 3 further ones with the yearly overland DLC. These 68 sets will occupy 272 slots in a house. This number seems not unmanagable but leads to a further limitation of additional stuff you can place in your house besides requireing quite some space to actually place those tables. Usually, managing all those tables is usally done with addons like Essential Housing Tools (EHT) which may lead to non-interactable tables as plenty of houses with large areas available do have slight differences in their height leading to additional overhead on the land lord through means of adding platforms and stairs to provide an even ground for those tables. With such requirements you quickly end up occupying further 30-50 slots that drain your alread over-limited number of items you can place.

I'd rather see that one could integrate attunable crafting tables into one crafting station of its kind and instead of having to place each table, the "learned" set becomes an unlocked option you can select through the interface of that one crafting station. I.e. I attuned the tailoring station of set A and B and integrated them into the general-purpose tailoring station by interacting with that crafting table while the attuned station is still in the housing "inventory". After agreeing to a safety check the attuned table is integrated into the existing table and through the interface I can now chose between a non-set or set A or B to craft. This way the number of items needed is reduced significantly. It would also give purpose to those base-crafting tables available that do not provide any sets at all.

But back to topic, in one of my guild one has put all crafting tables in the Coldharbour Surreal Estate while an other one used the free Grand Psijic Villa by extending stairs downwards to the water and planting lots of platforms right above the water where he then put all crafting tables, damage dummies and what not there. I am currently in the process of obaining those crafting tables and use the Linchal Grand Manor, where I layed out platforms around the shrine to the right where all the crafting tables (currently sitting at 33/68 sets) will be put

Yes, my crafting house is still in Coldharbour and will most likely stay there. However, it won't be long until I have to remove everything that is not a dummy, a Mundus stone or something crafting-related because I'm right at the furnishing limit.

Personally I'm using Grand Topal Hideaway for all my stations. The only thing you need flat ground in a house is for dummies, other then that you can simply build a flat area for the stations.

Personally I am using the princely dawnlight palace. Having normally decorated the front, in the back I have hidden massive amounts of set crafting stations. They are all quite easily reachable with sneaky paths, and all easily targetable. As I placed them all there manually, and checked if the mouse-over worked as intended. So far I have 66/68 of the set crafting stations.

The palace is specifically made to not look like a crafting house. But any notable home could be used for the crafting stations. Yet it is best to pick the ones with easily accessible massive areas, to save on walking time.

PS: If you want I could post some screenshots of my house.

I'm using Coldharbour, but I've seen a few move to the Doomchar Plateau. If you're looking to put your stations in a reasonable order that doesn't have people running through multiple rooms looking for the proper station, you need a large open area. There are other places that can work if you want to set up a large flat area to work with, but Coldharbour is pretty much set up to go right away and can be purchased with in game currency so it's very accessible.

I bounce mine around to different houses. I started with Earthtear Cavern by having them all on a platform I built on the water in the back. I then later moved them to Varlaisvea Ayleid Ruins where I also built platforms on the water for them. They are currently in Stillwater's retreat which my officers and I decorated for the holidays and now I'm thinking of where to move them next (probably Grand Topal)

I kinda forgot to say, I agree space is a HUGE issue. I'm used to it at this point, but it would be nice if I could consolidate them somehow so I can at least decorate the surrounding areas instead of it being a house of stations, dummies, and rocks (mundus).

I agree with others who have urged going to one master attunable crafting table per profession with a drop down menu. Before the current system explodes! Who wants their guild hall to look like a warehouse / sea of tables?!?

The guild I just joined on EU used Gand Topal Hidaway, in a similar set-up as in the screenshots.

Another guild used the house in Murkmire, but that was a while ago and they may have run out of room.

Figured I would post the pics anyways.

The palace is specifically made to not look like a crafting house. This was possible as the palace has a major area in the front, but also some major areas in the back.

This is how it looks when you enter and look around, you do see some crafting stations but not many:

As you can see, when you first enter it does not look like it has this many crafting stations in it.

PS: Sorry for the image overload!
PPS: I agree that we need to have only one of each station with a dropdown menu, especially as ZOS adds more and more crafted sets.

I use the house in N.Elsweyr near Riverhold (forgot the name atm).

Honestly I wish they would actually consider making a legitimate Guild Hall house we could buy, something that was already set up and organized for guilds so we didn't have to stick with Huge Open Lot A or Fix This Up To Also Have A Huge Lot B. For those who like the existing system, that's obviously fine, but it can be such a tedious pain in the butt to make a non-open land house work without essentially re-doing an entire new part of a house for it.

I, also, am on Xbox so I don't have mod add-ons or anything of the sort, so that makes it more of a pain.

How do you keep them sorted so you can remember what's where?
Well, I have practically each set placed in a square. Except the ones which are near walls. And I placed the ones I use the most in the front lines, together with the hardest to reach as I got all those first(like the PvP ones).
Because I placed them in squares, and due to the palace's layout, it is easy to run past most of the stations and quickly read which set it is.

But there is no real need to know where which station is, as the master writs all point out which stations you need. Even though I do remember some, as I placed them there manually. And I only use two or three crafted sets as actual sets on characters, so those are even easier to remember. All other sets I use are reconstructed with transmutes.

I did write down for which sets I already have the set stations. As I got them slowly over time, by only doing self-gotten master writs. Which would make it too hard to remember which sets I had already gotten stations for. Only for the first ten or so sets, did I go out into the world to craft. As I needed to start somewhere.

It is fun to see how the other players who posted screenshots of their stations, have placed them in a completely different way.

For a long time I’ve been wanting them to give us a large 700 slot warehouse, preferably near a dock for realism’s sake, for us to store furnishings in, use as a guild house, a crafting house, or whatever. If we wanted to just fill it full of boxes and just make it look like the one from Indiana Jones we could. I’ve said I would pay for a house like that. So someday, maybe it will show up 😊

Just curious — is there anyone who collects all the crafting sets in the game just for themselves? (I.e., not for a guild, although perhaps they might share it with their guilds). Does anyone know how much gold or how many writ vouchers that would take, currently?
