What's stronger? Hundings, leviathan or new moon?

I 40% crit chance without pots.
Im not sure what my extra crit dmg is. I think probs 24%(34% with trap beast.)

Everyone gets a base 50% crit multiplier on top of everything else, so if you have 6 medium armor slotted that’s like 12% more crit damage. Barbed trap or tzogvin would add minor force for 10% more. Backstabber is likely the strongest CP you could slot for another 15% as long as you are with a tank and hitting things from behind. So that’s at minimum 87% you can give yourself. It would be 97% with harpooners kilt. Add 12% if you run Sul Xan armor, which is the single highest buffing set as long as something in your vicinity dies every 30 seconds and you don’t mind walking over the shiny spikes. 10% extra if you had a cat instead of an Imp. Shadow mundus would add a lot, but ever since the crit damage cap I don’t bother with it. Everything else like 20% major force, 10% minor brittle, 15% elemental catalyst is kind of out of your hands, I usually aim to have around 100% crit damage for a random group since I don’t like the thought of going over a cap

40% crit chance seems really low, until it’s above 60% you most likely would gain more from crit% buffs rather than weapon damage buffs. I recommend the thief mundus, camouflage hunter for major savagery, daggers or a bow for another 6% crit, 1 piece slimecraw+ harpooners kilt (-or- thrassian stranglers for 4 player dungeons) and perhaps add on light armor for 1% extra crit each in addition to all that extra pen

i have tested and thaumaturge gives me 2-3k more dmg than backstabber does

If thaumaturge is outdpsing backstabber by that much, you really ought to delete master at arms, or maybe it’s the result from a very low crit rating

    why delete master at arms?

I can test with 60% and 50%... again i guess

has for cp idk what to use. I have thaumaturge + single target dmg + direct dmg + 10% crit... should i get wraithful strikes instead of 10% crit?

I have thief mundus and 6 medium 1 light. Stormfist monster set.
Is thrassian stranglers better? should i get 5 medium 2 light for extra pen?

I'm a imperial so if a healer gives me some stamina i don't have sustain issues with stam + hp food

Oops I just realized you mentioned already having the 10% crit cp, which might cause you to go over the crit damage 125% cap on a trial atronach when testing out 15% backstabber. The atro dummy has minor brittle and 100% major force uptime, which can be rare in 4 player dungeons

As far as penetration goes, I haven’t seen anyone bring Alkosh into anything at all in long time, 2-3 light armor can be pretty strong. Thrassian is also light armor, and tends to be insanely strong if you have a lot of AOE damage and aren’t prone to dying much, and you already use the max stamina/ max HP food. It can ruin the 5/5/2 setup though, you’d have to use something like 5/5/1/1

…or something weird like 5/2/1/2/2. That’s what I’m doing in the next hybrid patch on a ranged stam warden. It’s going to be 1 piece kilt or thrassian/ 2 piece monster set/ 5 piece perfect bahsei or relequen/ perfected master destro inferno staff for a nice pseudo spamming skill that adds 700 weapon damage and constant uptime with burning status / 2 piece from a 5 piece set that adds penetration- like Dro-Zak or Thunder Caller

@francesinhalover might want to check out builds by Likos, Skinny Cheeks, or Alcast. You don't need to copy them but they provide good bases to build off, especially when it comes to explaining what CP to use with what skills and builds.

Have to say, I am a bit taken aback by Scalding Rune and Mystic Orb. Both would require putting CP into Elf Born, Spell Erosion, and Elemental Expert to get the most out of their damage. That normally isn't used in stamina builds. ESO Skillbook explains what skills are helped by what CP allotments as well.

Stranglers are not what they used to be. You're better off with the kilt, as long as you can avoid taking damage regularly or rebuild the stacks. If not, Stormfist is okay. But it also runs into the problem of the mobile boss. You can use traditional mag monster sets now, too. So something like Zaan would help with a mobile boss.

Dungeons allow for the most variation in builds. A DOT/bleed build should work in most. If you have a mobile boss, look to get Blooddrinker instead of Nirn. Its my favorite bleed set

This is really outdated information mate. Those are from the old CP system, they are not in the game anymore. Current CP system (blue slottable that directly boost damage) doesn't care whether your skills cost magicka or stamina.

Here's a stamsorc dual wield dungeon build you might find interesting.

    Stormfist
    Vicious Ophidian (body)
Tzogvin (front barred with sharpened daggers, you can use medusa as well. it's only ~3k dps behind)
vMA inferno (backbar, this gonna be even stronger next patch on stam builds)

Don't underestimate Vicious Ophidian set. It's VERY strong in dungeons, because it gives tons of sustain and its other stats are insanely good. Bi-stat food should be no problem with it and you'll thank this set every time you get a subpar/fake healer.

In dungeons I'd replace elemental susceptibility with vigor or whatever you need, I just wanted a source of major breach here. Whirling blades and caltrops are to be used in trash fights and for adds near the boss. Crit surge is the main heal. Deadly cloak is better than rending slashes in every way. It's slightly more damage, but is AoE and grants major evasion for the full duration.

Single target DPS ~ 52k (self buffed on a 6m dummy)
    BJzSja9.png

I'm actually surprised by minor breach uptime. It came from Sundered status effect. (which is caused by doing physical damage)
    NsDDwoV.png

AoE situation (dps number here doesn't really matter, just wanted to show how the AoE skills in the build contribute in a trash fight)

People tend to forget about the proc effects from the basic damage types. They're not a joke.

Nice! Thanks for the info. Would have thought ESO Skillbook would have been up to date

    I like Pillars of Nirn.

If you are having sustain issues and you have access to a stam morph of one of your skills (or mag if stam) switch it out.. As a Warden I switched to the mag version of Swarm and I sometimes use green food now. In trials. Being Bosmer helps with that though.. as it does with most things :)
