My new gaming laptop came with WIN 11 PRO. No issues with games or anything else. I actually like it.

I got a new gaming PC recently, with very high specs, more than enough to run Windows 11, but configured the PC not to upgrade to it and to stay on Windows 10. As someone said up-thread, why upgrade when 11 doesn't really offer anything new over 10?

Im postpoing upgrade to Windows 11 as long as it can be done, afraid of various issues that might come with this next generation of Windows.

Has anyone tried playing ESO on Win11? Any noticable difference or perhaps issues?

    Please share your experience.

Actually ESO runs great on Win 11 for me. In general win 11 started off dicey, but it's getting better and better..but people who hate Microsoft, but still use their OS will find something too grump about.

I remember when Windows 10 came out the big selling point I heard touted over and over was that it would be the last version of Windows that would update itself and not need any newer versions, ..yet here we are.

I tried it briefly because I was having some issues with Win10 auto-updates and jumping to 11 seemed like it'd be an easy fix. It was for a time. and it ran my games fine but the unnecessary streamlining of certain things just became a nuisance for me as someone who's very particular on what my PC does, and when, or how... Apparently this didn't happen to everyone but for me the plain old 'Sleep' option on my computer was just disabled and removed the start menu which was a huge inconvenience, sure I could've edited my Group policies, checked my power settings, and jumped through a bunch of hoops to figure out how to re-enable it, but why? It added nothing at all but certainly created a less convenient version of the Windows experience for me.

I reformatted my drives and went back to win10 pro and I see zero reason to upgrade it again. Also that whole requiring a TPM 2.0 chip to upgrade it or even use Win11 with absolute zero flexibility just seemed really stupid to me.

    Hard pass.
