I don't get why some people are so intent on avoiding a Windows update. I mean, do you also avoid updating your phone, or your tablet, or your TV, or your Blu-ray player, etc.?

Not going to upgrade simply because my toaster is not capable, but then again I'm too cheap to buy a new one either...
I don't upgrade my phone (can't upgrade a landline as far as I know), or my tablet/TV/Blu-ray as I don't own one of them; I did mention I was cheap.
Windows 10 has been running my current rig without a reinstall now for over 13 years, thankfully Win 10 is stable enough to make me not have to.
edit: clarity

Keeping a machine deliberately outdated will backfire sooner or later (can assure you, i say this out of personal experience). My actual rig was born as a win7, upgraded to win10 and now to win11, with a lot of little hw upgrades in the years. Never had to reinstall os once and it's working perfectly.

I have the game minimize randomly sometimes, but can't say for sure it's not caused by some other software I got at the same time with the Windows upgrade. Otherwise I wouldn't say I noticed any difference for ESO, has been playing on Win11 since the end of December.

Has anyone tried playing ESO on Win11? Any noticable difference or perhaps issues?
