can more Templar abilities do fire damage?

I'm not saying all of their abilities, just a few more, maybe some of the morphs with the namesake? Blazing Spear, Blazing Shield, and Radiant Oppression actually BURN stuff with fire damage. Likewise you could change Sun Fire and Vampire's Bane to magic damage while leaving Reflective Light as fire damage.

Doesn't really fit the class theme imo, Vampires Bane and morphs seem to be the odd one out, not the reverse.
    • Fire is meant for DKs.
    • There is an equal amount of fire, shock and frost damage for Necro's, along with that dot passive makes them fit the "Elementalist" theme.

In this game, Physical and Magic damage has always been a very general damage type which can be thematically usable for things like Air magic(Stam Sorcs), Holy magic(Templar) and Dark magic(NB).

Since holy/light magic is Templars theme, magic damage fits them best. They're only doubling down on that idea now by completely removing the physical damage portion of the Burning Light passive.

... which I like in terms of theme, but what the heck are Stamplars suppose to be? They're like the budget version of Magplars in almost every way.

I'd rather have a new element introduced like Holy/Dark/Air, but thats less likely to happen and would further segment how sets behave so it's maybe not the best idea.

War Maiden buffs the whole class kit save for one skill. I wouldn't want to see it suddenly becoming completely ineffective for almost half of the relevant skills. No class benefits from mixed damage types.

Overchaged status effect is proced off of magicka damage.

You might be shotting self in foot with asking for this change. Most damage in game is elemental damage while magic damage is rarer.

Thematically it makes sense for light or sun spells to burn. But functionally, it's nice having your entire toolkit be one type of damage.

It would be nice if we had more than just two morphs of each spell and you had options between magic, fire, or whatever so that way you can build how you want but that might be asking too much of this small indie company.

It’d be nice for Dawn’s Wrath abilities to all be Magic Damage instead tbh. The “radiant heat” text can be interpreted another way:

    Sun Fire (active ability)
Blast an enemy with a charge of radiant heat, dealing 1161 Magic Damage, and an additional 2310 Magic Damage over 10 seconds. Upon activation you gain Major Prophecy, increasing your Spell Critical rating by 2629.

    Enduring Rays (passive ability)
Increases the duration of your Sun Fire, Eclipse, Solar Flare, and Nova abilities by 2 seconds.

Sun Fire applies Sun’s Radiance on initial hit, dealing 462 Flame Damage and causing the target to take 10% more damage from Dawn’s Wrath abilities for 4 seconds.
(animation is holy yellow flames on target)

    -Requires a target.

    -Weird travel time.

-Only fire damage in the Templar toolkit.

-1 morph has a weird 16 second duration.

-The other morph is some quasi AoE but requires a target.

-offers a PVP major buff in prophecy.

It’s always irked me ever since I’ve picked up Templar as my main, part of my wish list would be to just make vamp bane magic damage instead of fire damage and replace the magicka steal status effect with something worthwhile. But that’s just a minor want really.

    It's literally called "Blazing"
    blaze
    verb
    gerund or present participle: blazing
    1. burn fiercely or brightly.
Doesn't really fit the class theme imo, Vampires Bane and morphs seem to be the odd one out, not the reverse.

Holy Inquisition used to set Witches and Heretics on literal fire. How does not that fit the theme?
