What have past limited time offered skins been worth?

Legendary skins in crates: 100 gems
Kyne's Fury skin: 400 gems.
Cold Flame limited time skin: 400 gems.
Apex skins in current crates: 400 gems.

We'll find out on Thursday I guess when the new skin comes out.. but if its more than 400, we are getting fleeced even more than usual.

    Of course not... Remember when there used to be skins in the store for 2k crowns... How many gems can you get if you buy 2k crowns worth of crates? 50? Everything is getting ridiculously more expensive since they introduced the seals.

    I personally wouldn't pay even 400 gems for a skin, but I just don't really like skins personally.

    I'm also of the opinion that skins should have remained a reward only for vet trial achievements. I think its always good for the end game health of a game when there is some type of reward that can only be achieved for doing the most difficult PVE and PVP content. Something that those players can show off to show they achieved something that required a lot of skill. Something for people to work towards.

    As someone who will likely never achieve vet trials (unless I pay for a carry) I just like the idea of there being things I can't achieve unless I really want to put in the time/effort to improve and learn and progress. Skins were a good cosmetic reward for that.

    That skin looks sick I will buy it for my argonian nb. I will admit though that on any other race it will look a bit dumb, so probably not worth 600 gems.

    You would have to run naked to make full use of it. Considering that most players wear armor, only a small part of the skin would be visible most of the time.
    So no, it's not worth the gems.

    It depends if it is your first batch or a later one. It is annoying to only get 1/4 the price of the item in Crown Gems, but they do start dropping a lot as you get the "easy stuff".
