Crushing weapon not viable on melee builds, QOL needed.

I really like the design of crushing weapon and I would love to run it in PvP as a melee. Unfortunately, it is not viable for melee builds.

Why it isn’t viable:
- The 2 second duration is too short. If you are CC’d you will lose the buff and waste your global cooldown. There are many other mechanical issues with the 2 second duration.

- It only procs off of light attacks. This isn’t so much of an issue with ranged weapons, but melee light attacks often do not register because of latency or other back end issues. Additionally, many builds frequently use medium/heavy attacks as part of their rotation; making crushing weapon only proc from light attacks limits variety in play style.

Crushing weapon/ele weapon should operate the same way that crystal weapon does, it should have a 4 second duration and the ability to proc off of medium/heavy attacks to make it mechanically viable.

This is an awesome skill that still does not see use on melee builds at all. I think it’s a cool skill and often theorycraft with it, only to swap it out once I play test the build due to lack of mechanical viability. It’s a shame we can’t use a skill not because it is a bad skill, but because it doesn’t work.

    Yeah, especially if they change it so the two skills can't be used together (as it seems they intend to) I see no reason to keep Imbue Weapon as it is.

    The 2s duration was and will always be my biggest issue with the skill.

    Honestly, no idea why the duration isn’t infinite. To prevent preparation for OOOOMPH hits? I don’t see it. Can already be done in PvP and doesn’t even require Imbue Weapon or Crystal Weapon from Sorcs.

    2s is just so incredibly short in a clunky and laggy game like ESO.

    Yep. I'd rather just have the skill activated until I consume it. And it only working on light attacks is not good.

    It's also just completely useless on range as well in PvE. It would be really nice to have a "bow" spammable with instant cast time.

    i dont think they would do an active until use, but i could definitely see them bringing it in line with some others, at least in the 5-10 sec range to make it more useable

    i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

    They should either do
    1. Make imbue/crushing/ crystal weapon behave like Blastbones where you Can't recast until you consume or it expires

    2. make them a toggle, so each of your light and heavies consumes x stamina/ magicka cost each time you perform a Light or heavy and performing the skill automatically

    3. make the Crushing/crystal weapon SKILL key force your character to perform the Light attack associated with it, i.e make it into a spammable skill as it is supposed to be.

    WHY Proc sets, passives, poisons and glyphs all fire automatically on a LA but a SKILL that consumes resources doesn't is beyond me.
