For me it was Murkmire. Small zone but great writing and story. The entire main quest had me hooked from start to finish and the decisions felt very impactful. Some great zone design in the final mission too. 10/10.
Second place goes to Summerset, it’s scale and threat of villain was very memorable. Just lost to Murkmire as it lacked that personal attachment that Murkmire had.
out of all of those, imperial city is the one i frequently go back to the most
most all of those DLC i only ran through the story quests 1-2 times, only went back to do dailies or during events, or if i was running quests with a friend
most of the DLCs i did generally like though, although zone layout for some are awful (lots of high cliffs leading to fall deaths if not paying attention, or the absolute abysmal wayshrine placement of some such as murkmire)
i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them
This was a tough one. I generally prefer the shorter Q4 DLC storylines to the longer Q2 chapter storylines. The one I enjoyed the most, from a pure story perspective, is probably Summerset, though Abah's Watch, Murkmire, Clockwork City, Southern Elsweyr, and the Reach are all up there.
I absolutely adore the Deadlands DLC. It's very close. But Summerset wins by a just hair for me, I think.
Summerset was the highlight of my time playing ESO. Beautiful zone, tied up a long and great story, brought back characters I loved, and introduced a skill line I could use on my DK as well as jewelry crafting. Wrothgar is amazing to.
Hard to pick one, and there are still a bunch I haven't gotten around to yet.
Morrowind-Clockwork-Summerset was a fantastic line. I did think they all started slow, but they all three got really exciting at the end and I loved how they all fit together. Great storyline.
Summerset in particular I liked because I was (and am) disappointed by the Altmer in the basegame, particularly how completely out-of-character someone like Ayrenn is based on her culture. I feel like someone was trying to hard to show another side to the extremist Altmer we had in Skyrim and swung too far in the other direction with her. Summerset and its Altmer were much more believable for the culture and made me respect it a lot more for the lore.
My favorite DLC for the zone was Markarth. I'd never really thought much about Reachmen lore beyond the Forsworn from Skyrim, and it was fascinating to see them presented in that way. Not to mention the music was second-to-none. I will say that it was the sountrack that convinced me to buy Stone Eagle Aerie, and that zone was phenomenal.
Very excited to finally get to Orsinium, but I write my story as I play it and I'm not ready to get there yet. Still, I main an Orc and I've heard nothing but good things about the intrigue there. I can't wait to hit that one.
No contest for wrothgar! Back when dlc was dlc, and eso plus included “dlc”. Then dlc became a chapter, thus making the 4 quarters of dlc, only three quarters of dlc with eso plus. This was also a time when dlc contained actual content and not just a reskinned copy of the previous year.

If I could say from Wrothgar to Summerset I would. I think the Daedric Wars is easily their best stretch and a chapter hasn't captured me quite as fully since. As is I'll say Summerset as I think it was excellent even if we didn't get the massive glass towers made of insect wings and all that jazz. Just a lot of great memories from the great quests and zone to progging through vCR+3. Fun times!
I voted for Vvardenfell. But that's because I'm a sucker for Morrowind as that was my first Elder Scrolls experience. It was great to come back to as a chapter.
Thanks for starting this thread, @MindOfTheSwarm. Great to see what others pick as their top chapter.
The morrowind - Clockwork city - Summerset storyline is probably the best story line I ever played in an mmo.
I selected Summerset because of the three zones in that story, Summerset was my favorite both visually and in questing. Geysers were perfectly scaled for the amount of players fighting them And the furniture plans for homes felt obtainable (unlike now). The trial (even on +3) was fun. Finally the “two griffon” fight is my favorite world boss.
Well, Morrowind is my childhood, feels like home, good story in comparison with other DLCs, so Vvardenfell for sure, but I would like to check not just Vvardenfell but the whole story arc which includes Clockwork City and Summerset. I think they have best story alongside with Orsinium also nice landscapes\quests etc.
Summerset has endured the most for me, but Wrothgar and Vvardenfell are still absolute gems. I really like that whole area up by Old Orsinium. I honestly like most DLCs except Greymoor, though. Elsweyr has some really good geography. I'm warming up to Blackwood. The world builders always do such great work.
Wrothgar cause story and being completely new zone done flawlessly. Vvardenfell would be right next for me cause nostalgic reasons. Summerset soundtrack is absolute beast winning Murkmire/CWC for a third place.
