Unable to purchase crowns from the store - Visa Debit

When I try and purchase crowns from the store using Visa Debit, I get the following error:

Error: The transaction was not authorized. Please contact your payment provider for additional assistance.

I believe this is a problem with with zenimax or its payment provider because:
  • This is the same Card I use for my eso plus subscription
  • I have purchased crowns before using this payment method
  • There is sufficient funds
  • It is not being blocked on my side, (I get to approve blocked payments, after being notified)
  • I've used the card online many times recently with other payment providers without issue
  • I've tried with multiple browsers, and in incognito mode

I would appreciate someone looking into this.

    I see you mention it's not being blocked on your side, but double check if you have to temporarily unlock it for either domestic or international online purchases through your bank app or online bank.

    Recurring payments do not need that however, once authorized.

    Cheers for the response. As mentioned I've also made non-recurring purchases, (most recently the Blackwood expansion). There is no option on my online banking to authorise or deny international payments, and I'm not even sure it is international as it is in my local currency.

    I've ended up with the faff of setting up a PayPal account and using that. I'm disappointed no-one from Zenimax Online has responded.
