Ps5 Magcro skills fail to cast

I don't know if it's just me or if it's a general issue.

Since 2 weeks blastbones, fiery rune and siphon fail to cast. The emblem on the skill bar does the animation when pressing the button but nothing is happening. I thought I am maybe casting too fast but even when I press the buttons slowly it's happening.

Does anyone else have problems with this?

It's really annoying. Plus sometimes he does 2 light attacks instead of casting a skill in between.

    Same issue on PC, i hate this class more and more, even blastbones that back to me instead of jumping to enemy make me less angry than this thing.

    Good to know I am not the only one. Maybe we can get @ZOS_Kevin to acknowledge this. Any other people noticing this?

    Ground dots have been a problem for me for a long time when taking a synergy before or after either preventing the skill from casting or canceling the skill all together. I’ve noticed it with rune and boneyard often on my Cro. That synergy bug isn’t class specific though as I have experimented the same issue with blazing spear on Templar and winters revenge warden as well as with rune on those classes plus my DK as well.

    As for blastbones it’s probably the most wonky skill in game though stonefist gives it a run for it’s money.

    I am having many issues with skills not working recently on all characters. I keep seeing my character do just light attacks even though I am hitting skills.

    I have a feeling it's caused by the changes they made to companion pathing recently. Many skills seem to fail for me (and yes leaps outside of PVP too) and I usually notice there is a difference in the land height between me and the enemies.

    Even tho I don't think our pathing is related to companion's pathing, obviously since we choose where to go. I think that the skills we fire off somehow is related to the pathing system. After all our skills/spells/effects have to hit the target somehow. It's not like when I played the original FF14 and the skills just hit the enemy without first chasing them or being shown as fired or whatever (jeez I hope that has changed there now lol).

    Either or, I hope they fix all of this soon!

    It's really bad atm. That blastbones won't cast so often It's ridiculous. Could easily reach 112k on my Magcro but now can't get above 101k anymore. Sucks so much....

    Stupid siphon is also not activating and I am doing 2 light attacks instead of casting. It was never this bad. Makes me angry. Going to play an other class.

    God those ground AoE DoTs are so annoying to use. So often their yellow target circle appear but the skill itself doesn't fire. It's why I stick to magsorc and magblade in endgame, since they don't have to use such skills.

    The synergy issue often happens to me when I try to use a skill and a synergy at nearly the same time. Then neither works.

    I’m finding a main reason for misfiring is the aiming collisions. Essentially the game is prioritising ANYTHING that’s in between myself and the enemy, a rat, squirrel (this one happened an hour ago), another players pets, even other players. Basically whatever the name plate displayed up top is, that’s what I’m firing at. As I can’t cast a skill at someone else’s or my own storm atronach or that evil rogue squirrel that got cocky, it appears as misfires. To me anyway, ymmv

    On PC, too.

    My Magcro is COMPLETELY unplayable. Blastbones frequently won't fire with a grayed out bar even when directly targeting something. My lightning staff locks me in to a full heavy, effectively leaving me open to easy bashes and stuns and my stamina just drops to zero at random, even on siege so, it's not latency "catching up".

    Guess I'll just roll a sorc eh!
