When I returned to ESO I had 6. I deleted 4 that I really didn't care about then rolled a Necromancer. Right now I'm completing the map and all the quests and am almost finished with that on all 3, then I plan to work on achievements. I may also roll another character then.

• a super cute bosmer nightblade crafter/farmer/fisher with a speed build
• a magsorc lightning dps for questing/dungeons...a khajiit because who doesn't want to be a cat-person?
• an argonian warden healer for all group content
• a dark elf stage 4 vampire necro who does the dark brotherhood
• a frost warden who does the quests in storymode (slowly -sometimes walks- and in chronological order)

the rest (5) are either alts (experimenting with builds/playstyles) or mules...they all do crafting writs

and 1 blank character slot

I had a PvP character but respecced her for PvE recently. You know why.

I couldn't play only 1 character because some classes/races do the job better (like healing), so if I want to do different things, I need different characters. I wish achieves were account-wide.

18 on PC EU, and I want many more character slots. As I still have ideas for more characters, for more characters of certain classes, and sometimes I just come up with names I'd like to take.

17, of whom 13 are CP level and with max-for-my-playstyle gear (able to do normal dungeons and trials), and 4 under level 50. 11 of my CP toons have all their skillspoints done, I'm working on the last 2. I'm saving my last slot until I have a cool idea for a character.

2 - A sorc that I main and is the only one I play anymore. I also tried out the necromancer and leveled it quite a ways but it always felt clunky to me so I dropped it. I've been thinking of changing it into a crafting/gathering character at some point but until then it doesn't hurt anything to have it sit there unused.

5. All are dark elf stamblades. All are level 50 and all have virtually the same build. I only play my main because, with the armory system, he can do everything. I have 5 different builds for him.

The other 4 are just used when there’s an event that needs repetition or my friend want to run multiple randoms or pledges.

I was absolutely planning to delete the 4 alts as soon as I heard about the armory but I kept them and made them all standard stamblades sitting in the wings for a few days a month when needed. I am not a fan of Alts. I have my main and that’s all I want to play.

Thanks they are spread across 25 accounts.

I was down to 85 ish at one putting buy character creation and naming bug hit me and I had to roll with it.

18 on PC/EU and i think 3 on PC/NA, though none of the NA characters is even close to level 50.

On top of those 21 current chars I already deleted somewhere between 30 - 50 other characters on PC/EU (most between level 20 and 40) to make room for new ones after I couldnt buy any more char slots.

18 on my main account, which is not enough. There are more ideas I want for characters but I don't have space for them and I loathe deleting characters, particularly once they have fully leveled mounts, etc. As others have said, want more on my main account where I have all the motifs and dyes and mounts and houses and cosmetic collectibles that make me want more characters.

2 on my second NA account. It's mostly for alt things and none of the characters are above level 5.

I think I have a few on the EU version of my main account but I don't know who they are (except one created just to view beautiful houses created on that server) and they don't get played because, again, all my stuff is on NA which is where I play and where the people I play with are located.

Seven.All leveled, but I realized I’m more immersed in the storyline when I focus on my main. Now I only bring the others out when people request a specific class during a trial. Hoping for a class token change just to continue changing my main and feeling like I can change my own main story at anytime.

I enjoy setting up like a background story and special characteristic for each character. Some characters perform tasks easier then others.

Its fun to try out different things and see just what you can do.
