So, would you be upset or opposed to a year of no content in favor of only performance updates (that work)?

I would most likely give up on the game seeing as without new content there'd be between [Censored] and all left for me to do in the game, and I'm well aware that I'm not the only one in that position.

Sure you could say "just play the pvp" but the balance there is a joke not to mention the performance rendering it rather muted as a playable experience, let alone an enjoyable one.

and that is probably your add-ons loading. Actually the game runs super well for me, if I disable all add-ons. (which I am not gonna do:)

    Oh yeah, probably.

Give me stamwhip and I need no other content for at least six months.

As a StamDK main, 100% can get on board with this.

And I should note that I do PvP mainly. Cyrodiil is horrible. This game has the best PvP of any mmo out there, and it feels like we constantly get forgotten while PvE gets everything. I’m on PlayStation running tethered fiber optic internet and I lag in every dungeon, every battleground, and even if I’m doing solo trials. Just seems like performance could be MORE focused on and Jan in accounting can still sharpen her pencils. It does feel like performance take a backseat to the push for new content and it’s always been like that. I’ve been playing since just after launch on console so it’s not like I’m new to bugs and poor server performance. Maybe the PvP community is who I should’ve addressed..because I know for a fact we’re all frustrated with the shortcomings of “performance updates”..it’s out of love for the game though. Love it enough to be willing to sacrifice new content to be able to play what we have.

Yeah, my impression is that you live so far out in the middle of nowhere that the rest of the middle of nowhere envies how far you are out.

Well, you'd think so if you lived here! But I'm only 40 miles north of "real broadband", "real grocery stores", "real tv" (as opposed to satellite), "real cell reception" etc.

To me nothing is broken, performance-wise or ping-wise. So content would be good.

I stopped buying new content before Elsweyr so I don't have that much interest in it new content.

Having recently come back, in my brief time back performance is better (although I'm not running the game in Windows anymore). Although I stick to a lot of the "older" areas and the population is a lot less, so that could be a reason I'm getting better performance.

I do find it funny and sad that this is still a topic however. I quit the game a little over a year ago and ignored the forums in that time. These were the exact same topics I remember from back then. So I wouldn't count on this happening...at all.

No new content === no new money

    It's very very simple!

Well... 200+ players in my guild left the game for performance issues (unplayable PvP to be exact). Like me, most bought most dlcs altough only playing PvP. We were all tired of promises about that, and see that all development efforts are pointed to easy money and exploiting a dead architecture like an orange juice. I never asked for new content. I never even started most dlcs in fact lol. I think most PvP players would sign for a 2015-2016 PvP even with all exploiters, bugs, imbalance etc etc. Is not a matter of money. Is a leadership problem, and even after MS purchase, nothing has been done towards that

Other than lag in PVP and Vet dungeons/Arena's all which I rarely bother with as a result, I don't really have that many performance issues with what I actually do in game.

One of the reasons I keep up my subscription to this game is the regular release of new content each year, while I can't say I would care if they didn't bother with the new dungeons for a year, plenty of people would, just like I would care if they didn't bother with new zones for a year.

So yes I would be upset, if they had some easy fix to the problems with the game they would have implemented them by now, even if you gave them a year to sit down and try to fix stuff they would break it again once new content started releasing.

As for Dark Convergence I like that set, one of the most enjoyable proc sets they released in a long while at least for PVE, haven't toyed with it yet since the changes though so can't say if they ruined it or not.

Oh, heck no. Good grief, don't give them any ideas. There is no way in hell we should pay anything extra for performance fixes and quality of life improvements that should always be absolutely free, much less pay a premium.

Maybe you were just engaging in hyperbole, but this is how bad ideas get normalized.

22 years of MMOing and the one thing that kills MMOs quickly is new content drying up. I agree lag and system issues needs to be fixed. Cyrodiil is my fav MMO content and I have not played it in over a year.

It's very simple. Zeni needs MS daddy big bucks to pay for more power on the servers. They have the tools, MS just needs to get invested.

Seen people suggest same in every MMO I played, never seen it actually done, so I hold no hope.

But no, I would not be upset, especially if it meant for example, that last boss of Banished Cells did have his attacks synced with animations.

Or that you don't slow down to a crawl when dashing and stepping on pebble...
